It was all about getting the victory yesterday no matter what and it leaves us a point away from 8 in a row! The performances have been poor recently but let's all remember they were also poor under Rodgers! we have not been great this season yet we are still on for a treble treble. I do honestly feel that Lennon is not the right manager to take us forward but to be honest there is not a lot out there at the moment within budget so we have to get this next appointment correct as we have some re-building to do for next season. Just want to mention big Jozo, I personally feel he is our best centre half and hopefully now he can stay injury free and be the player that we all know is in there! Hope everyone is having a nice weekend. HH.

Michael what is the budget for a manager?

Kev why do feel the right to scrutinise every single post on here? Stop with the condescending reply’s cause they are just pathetic. Everyone knows the best managers are on massive salaries and I personally feel as a club where we are financially to others we can’t afford to go mental. Good enough reply for you?

I agree with pretty much all of that Michael. Getting any win was the main aim at this stage though like you I think we need a fresh approach in the summer. Yes there needs to be a few new player recruits (that would have still have been the case under BR) . More importantly we need to get a new manager and probably for me look at a position which bridges the gap between footballing decisions and finance. As for a limited budget though, we did get 9m for Rodgers, Kolo and Davies. That could go a long way towards getting a big name in. The main issue is who would want to come. I like Jozo when he's fit, the problem is there, WHEN HE'S FIT. So for me, a centre back to partner young Ajer and Jozo as back up would be good. Assuming the new manager plays with 2.

I Wasn't taking it personally, I was merely suggesting we don't have the financial power of other clubs to compete salary wise for managers. If I were going for a manager at the moment I really like the look of the young English guy at Bournemouth Eddie Howe. How he has managed to do what he has at that club I'll never know. They play amazing football and behind the scenes he has transformed the young set up etc, Again its just a suggestion. HH.

Michael i think Howe would be a great appointment but don't think we've any chance of getting him.

Well to be honest debate is what this site is for.
If you don't want someone picking holes in your opinion then don't put it up.

Now the reason I asked about the budget for a manager is that everyone seems to think we don't have one.

Where do you's get this idea.
Our last manager was on 2.4 million a year.
Our highest ever
Which isn't far off as lot of the managers in EPL.
Benitez rumoured to be around 4 million.
We recouped practically every penny we paid him
We have around 40 million in the bank supposedly.

I also think Eddie Howe would be a great pick.
As far as salary for the manager is concerned we got £3 million for winning the league on each occasion during BR's reign, so winning the league paid his salary.
How do we know Eddie Howe etc won't come, they need to be asked.
As I said last week, he has brought Bournemouth through all the leagues, and kept them in the EPL for 4 seasons. Best they can achieve is top10 finish, so maybe Mr Howe would love a chance at Champions League football?
As Michael Dundee 7 says they play good football, so why not ask him if he's interested.

Howe definitely looks the part.
Is he not only the youngest but also the longest serving manager in EPL right now?

{Ed007's Note - Sean Dyche must be up there for longest serving, Kev.}

Believe it or not ed both have been in charge since October 2012 but Howe was the 12th and Dyche the 30th.
