Been reading for a few years but had to sign up and say my bit. Why are so many people still saying they are gutted he's left? I'm over the moon. Despite the trophies (most have came with very little competition btw) , we haven't progressed as a team since his first season. Despite a few very good performances I became sooooo bored watching most of the stuff we produced. If it wasn't for a fluke that he HAD to play CalMac in playmaker role, and that Christie seriously stepped up to the plate, I dread to think where we'd be sitting in the league right now. We've became a laughing stock in Europe. Teams just sit in and shuffle from side to side as we mess around at the back eventually losing possession and more often than not a chance or a goal. Did he really think we controlled games because we would pass from fullback to centre back a gazillion times? He's left us with a squad that will be seriously depleted, in year 1 he'd be on the touchline changing tactics, formations, getting the best outa everyone. Last 18 months he'd sit on the bench with his legs crossed looking fed up half the time. He sat and watched us crumble at their place, without doing anything on the sideline. So let's shake of this sorry attitude and stop thinking we are doomed. A true legend has returned. A legend full of passion. A guy that shows what it means. A winner. We will now stop pretending to be a poor mans barcelona or man city. He needed us more than we needed him. We were fooled into thinking it was the opposite. there's only one man i want to see lift no10. The player, the captain, the coach, the manager. Welcome home Neil.

Remember when wim stopped the 10IAR? Everyone wanted TB to be the man who achieved that but it was sadly not to be.
If NL is in the hot seat and we do manage 10IAR no would be able to say Neil doesn’t deserve it. I would prefer Neil to moyes for that reason.

Welcome mate, hard to disagree with most of what you said. The thing with Rodgers and why people are fuming is it isn’t so much that he’s away, that day was always coming. It was the way in which he done it mate, that’s where the bitterness comes in, but like u say it’s done now we must move on and the boys done fantastically well to get those 3 points last night. Wasn’t a great performance but with what’s gone on the last 48 hours and being at Tynecastle it was always going to be tough. roll on Saturday now at Easter road.

There were times when he did look unenthusiastic and distracted; but the records will show seven trophies on the bounce and for that I am delighted. The standards have slipped since the invincible season and although it was inevitable we would not be able to keep that going, it was apparent that our play had become predictable at times and the European ventures were very patchy and we took some batterings.
The points difference between us and the rest has also diminished and that can be down to other teams improving (thanks to the cash bonuses from our CL rewards) , our own complacency and some inconsistent away performances; there have also been a few unspectacular signings along the way that made zero impact.
The club and support are far more important than any player or manager and we will always appreciate those who give 100% and reflect the devotion and loyalty we give unconditionally.
The ones who let us down or deceive us are cast into obscurity.
