It looks the way this story unfolds in installments that there might have been a cunning plan in place behind the scenes at Celtic for a time and the news is just being spoon-fed in dribs and drabs for dramatic effect?
Of course it's a sore one, for every Celtic fan; but the timing from both parties, immediately after a Euro exit and NL waiting in the wings? Did anyone at all see this coming?

I thinknits down to the suggested fued with lawell, possibly told him he would stay till first PL team came for him.
