Well well, such sound and fury regarding the Stevie Clarke outing of the sectarian abuse he endured at ibrokes. All the usual suspects, keevins jackson et al, have been outraged and offered their opinions on the matter. Just one question, why the silence for the last forty years Hugh?

This is a farce of the highest order because not one reporter will come out and say the real problem lies in ibrokes. The place is steeped in sectarianism and a hatred of Catholics, with the Irish given their own special song of course, and it has never changed.

There is evidence all over the internet showing rangers players, poor barry among them, singing the sectarian songs in question after cup and league wins. THE PLAYERS. who are now tut tutting about the state of the country? Will any be asked questions as to what they were thinking? Especially the Scottish players who knew all about the words?

We are not blameless either, but the fact is Irish Republican songs are not sectarian. The word person is not sectarian. When you use the word orange in any derogatory song or term that is sectarian. Having said that i do wish we would leave the old songbook for parties and events, not least because it will be used to lump us in with the true culprits.

This is lip service and obfuscation of the highest order. Sweet jesus a statement from king! The man who gave them orange strips and tops with a sash! With his fellow director johnson claiming, on TV, no surrender was a saying round here! Who along with other suits allied to sevco were singing the songs after a penalty win v us!

Laughable.

It's so hypocritical from all sides with the token apologists and mock indignation. Not one person in any position of authority has seriously tackled this head-on or had the guts to point the finger.
All we ever get is media coverage of our club linked inseparably with them under the antiquated 'Old Firm' flag of convenience and duplicity under the widened and flawed blanket of 'Sectarianism'.
The links between Celtic and Irish republicanism is always seen a matter of contempt; whereas the links with Sevco, Neo-facism and The Orange Order is deemed as untouchable normality.
This incident will fizzle out in a few days, but the songs of hate will be sung (and broadcast) same time, same channels every week.

I see this story as a deliberate distraction from the real issue which is the inherent bias in the SFA and refereeing in particular. We have them worried and we need to keep pushing for reform and a clear out within the corridors of power.

Fergus banned The Boys of the old Brigade. The GB had their section closed. We brought the subject up at the last AGM yet some are saying "why have cfc not released any statement". The old ones as bad as the other is a cop out and utter garbage. At our home games you hardly ever hear anything, yet over at mordor it's belted out non stop even from their Family stand!

Once a boy

Some nice balanced views there.

No wonder we have a problem.
