For me this season was always going to be the most difficult getting our ever younger squad up to the rigours of playing every week with the sizeable expectation we all demand.
If that mob want to throw large amounts of money to recruit 30+ to deliver a challenge but leaves them in a bigger mire at the end of it then good for them. We need to continue on sourcing and developing young players for forward planning. If that means we stumble across the line until these youngsters grow into it then I can live with that.

We should be a big enough club to do that AND sprinkle some proven talent in there.
Keep hearing we need to clear out first, but we’re only replacing them with more of the same. The reality is that most of the projects won’t be first team regulars but that doesn’t mean we stop trying and will be realised over time. The issue is we can’t disregard the present and glaring deficits in the current playing squad.
