happy new year ed007 and all posters, just summarising in my mind exactly where we are at this point in the season, and yes on paper we are top of the league with game in hand, league cup in the bag and next round of europe so there can be no complaints in that respect.

looking individually at performances over the past few months though and i feel we should be a lot further ahead of the rest than we are currently, take the people for example they completely re-built in the summer and have managed to reign in the points difference and even recently beat us albeit not our first 11 and some impartial refereeing, now looks as though they are going to strengthen again, in january which leaves me fearing a repeat of our summer window.

we all know what is needed to improve our team and have done since brendan came in, and truthfully even though all our success we have only once went out and laid out a big fee for a player, i think the club really need to get the finger out over the next month and improve our starting 11 as well as offload as much rubbish as possible.

as it stands on our day we are still the best in the country but i feel we have let the rest get a lot closer than they ever should have been and in turn building confidence in their followers which filters down from the stands, i hope and pray come feb 1st we have done what is needed to cement our authority for the remainder of the season and beyond, i know they had to win at some point but it doesn't make it any easier to take and in all honesty they should never have had the chance to be that close✌️🇮🇪.

I think a lot of people need a bit of a reality check.
Last season at Christmas Sevco got a 0-0 draw at Celtic park and the media went into overdrive about how they were going to knock us off our perch. Look what happened in the next three games against them, 3-2, 4-0, and 5-0.
It appears now that Sevco signing a 36 year old who hasn't scored since March is now going to win the title for them.
I for one would not have been happy if we had signed Defoe, so I am quite happy for Sevco to have him. If that is what they are reduced to then we should be fine.
We have won 7 trophies in a row, we are still in Europe, and we are top of the league with a game in hand yet to listen to some we are in crisis.
We lost a game on Saturday which was disappointing but we have bounced back from poor league results before, I'm sure we will do so again because when we are on our game we are streets ahead of everyone in Scotland.

Gerry your facts are bang on we’ve won 7 trophies in succession and are top of the league with a game in hand. Other facts which are concerning is that the team has regressed and they have improved. Facts are we have one striker who couldn’t play 90 minutes at Ibronx where we used to have three due to sale of Dembelle and unfortunate situation with Griffiths. Our best centre half is on loan and next best Boyata given he’s started ahead of Ajer is to be sold in due course. Our left back and potentially our best player wasn’t fit to play at Ibronx and our right back whose been a great servant is nearing the end of his career. Our captain is considering his options which would leave us with a team who have never experienced a title challenge. I’m all for dealing with facts the last presentation of which was at Ibronx where we were outplayed and out-fought by the successors of Rangers and where Brendan Rodgers was out-thought by Stevie G. It’s a fact they are on our coat tails after half a season having gubbed us to end it and are strengthening while we have yet to do so therefore there is nothing to suggest they won’t be ahead of or closely behind us at the end of the season. The biggest concern for me isn’t that the Board or Peter Lawwell will not back Brendan Rodgers financially t’s whether Brendan Rodgers is capable of spending the funds wisely which previous factual evidence doesn't suggest is certain.

We have been unlucky this season with a poor summer transfer window and injuries. The media convientiently have omitted these crucial facts when glorifying that mob. They are rotten and for us having a weaker team it was hardly an epic victory. Mcgregors goal was barely offside, they were very lucky with us having disallowed goal. They are really bad and no matter who they sign, we will increase gap at top.

I’ve got faith things will be put right this month by signing a few players who will change our fortunes.
