I wanted to see if we could have a positive post on site regarding the status of squad etc etc. Here is a summary of the actual facts.

1 point off top spot with 2 games in hand.
League Cup Trophy - Secured
v Valencia last 32 of Europa
Treble Treble still achievable

Emergence of Christie
Emergence of McGregor new position
Improvement of Forrest
Improvement of Boyata
Benkovic revelation
Improvement of KT

As with any good team we are only a couple of players away from being a relatively good team on our day to being a consistently good team. All teams go through transitions, with the number of games demanded of our squad, I think the most games of any league in Europe and beyond and they are expected to win them all, this is the expectation. Taking all this into account and what they have delivered to us the fans consistently is success in my opinion. Even after all this some are still not happy and offer knee jerk opinions based on one game.

Does anyone on here not think at the very least this season come the finish we will be Double Treble, Double Double winners.? I would prefer Treble Treble but either will still be continued success. Hail Hail.

Think Young Christie is the biggest surprise 10kgs in weight added good example if you apply yourself and work hard you'll get rewarded.

Agree with most of post. Only slight worry all the positives were signed pre BR except Benko who was a loan we got on deadline day because we couldn’t get who BR wanted. Great coach, questionable signings.

Benko was always one Rogers wanted.

When you look at our fixture list in December
Aberdeen cup final
Motherwell away
Kilmarnock home
Salzburg home
Hibs away
Motherwell home
Dundee home
Aberdeen away
Sevco away
Wasn't it likely we would lose somewhere among those fixtures.
A lot of these games would be hard enough with a week to prepare for them, but a lot of them are taking place barely 48 hours after the previous game, sooner or later that will have an effect.
I was disappointed with the result yesterday but I'm not sure that it was a total surprise.

I think we’re all disappointed with dropping points yesterday and allowing Sevco to go top again. I think we will drop more between now and May but I have faith in BR and the team that we’ll win the league again. However 10 in a row is not guaranteed by any means as this league is developing right now, mainly due a good crop of very capable managers and the next couple of seasons could go down to the wire. If we do manage it, it’ll be an incredible achievement. In response to Kwaj, I completely agree. Like the rest of the teams, we’re building, and we’ve got an eye on Europe, even though they just keep making it harder for us. We shouldn’t panic every time we lose a game. We have a lot to be positive about.

I got the feeling that Rodgers wanted to make a point to the board, hence the team selection and players being played out of position on Sunday. Just hope it works and we strengthen in January.

Maybe not be a positive this season and he will need to bulk up. Michael Johnson will be a player for us. Watched a lot of this boys development. Definitely a player.

RodgersAtWork do you honestly believe Brendan Rodgers picked a weakened team at a difficult venue in the hope we could drop points just to send a message to the board . With the league being as competitive as it is at the moment, that for me would be a huge risk to take. oldkilly.
