Ed just reading James McLeans response to those abusing him yesterday. There's a rumour that Neil Lennon wants Celtic to sign him to take the pressure off him in Scotland.

The guy has balls of steel, would have easy for him to say it’s no worth the hassle and wear the thing but he’s strong enuff and brave enuff to stand up for something he believes in. he’s a legend in ma eyes.

I see today that man United player matic said and did not wear a poppy on his shirt for personal reasons. Let see if he gets the same abuse as James McLean. Some how l doubt it as he is not an Irish Catholic from Ireland!

One Man Utd fan tweeted that Matic shouldn’t play for them again at #nosurrender. Same breed as the scumbags from the north east that was abusive to James McLean. Little Englanders to a man. Sweetie paper rustling prawn sandwich eating twats. Proud of James for making his stand. He wasn’t objecting to anyone else wearing a poppy he just wanted his right not to wear one to be respected.

Someone sent me a link to a comparison between McLean and matic reports in the same paper. One was total condemnation the other was very sympathetic, can anyone guess which was about mclean? I'd love him to sign for us but I would genuinely fear for his life. If u think the crap lennon takes is bad wait till a Tim from Derry that chose the Republic pulls on the hoops.

I think the abuse mclean took from the Stoke fans might have the opposite effect ed.
