So despite much boasting from both Hearts and the Scottish media, it seems that there are going to be rows and rows of empty seats, AGAIN in a semi final, as the "fantastic" jambos support are only likely to sell 20,000 of their allocated 30,000. But they and the SPFL DO NOT WANT Celtic fans to buy these spare tickets. Could you see that happening with the Sevco fans allocation. NO? me neither.

Tim, I'm sure i read they are having the same issue with the sheep. Stupid really, why they are getting that size of allocation when they have no intention of filling it.

There will be rows of empty seats due to Aberdeen’s selling policy.

Just read that article on video celts. They only want seats next to the Celtic fans. They could have sold from the corners going northward which would have given us more ticket's. The money from tickets sales from all 4 clubs will be split evenly after ground rates and costs are deducted. I wonder who crunches the numbers and who then oversees them!

@DB92 point I was making was that a deadline was given to Aberdeen to sell all their allocation, otherwise sevco got more tickets. To the best of my knowledge NO SUCH AGREEMENT is in place for Celtic fans to buy any unsold tickets.

It's pathetic, considering it's a 'home' tie for Levein's louts.
The Celtic team has carried Scottish football on it's back in Europe for over a decade and our support have helped fill every stadium in the country week-in, week-out so ticket allocation should reflect the demand of true fans and regular payees - not p/t glory hunters.

Some might say that you’re paranoid, Tim. Others might point to the fact that Sevco have already been given more tickets than the sheep, but the SFA still see the need to write to them to express their displeasure at the way they are selling ‘THEIR’ tickets. Maybe I’m paranoid as well but to me, that does seem to show a degree of favouritism towards the tribute act.

I wonder if Waddel in the press will write a page attacking Anne Budge the way he has attacked Stewart Milne?

Make no mistake about it, the rag dolling of Milne was a deliberate strategy to unnerve him to surrender 10,000 briefs for TRFC fans.

If Budge doesn’t return 10,000 briefs for Celtic fans will Waddel rag doll her in the press? Or praise her wonderful contribution to the game?

This is the guy who lifts text verbatim from blogs and changes a word here or there (to benefit TRFC) and prints it as his original work.

This is the guy who basically said **** sporting integrity when the spl / sfa were dealing with the old RFC club death in 2012.

Sporting integrity dictates clubs get equal ticket numbers and if unsold so be it. One club should not have the advantage of much more fans in support.

The spfl already bent the semi by giving sevco 26,000 briefs upfront and tried to reduce Aberdeen’s 20,000. That’s the SPFL itself rubbishing sporting integrity for sevco benefit.

Here’s a solution; choose the stadium size to match predicted turnout.

Predict smallest club turnout. Double it. Add in hangers on/ media/ corporate briefs. And choose a neutral ground with that capacity. Hence an evenly supported full stadium.

It’s not rocket science. But we've got buffoons running the game.

Should the SPFL deliver Sporting Integrity or maximum seat sales?

That’s the basic conflict.

Until you discover they don’t apply the same standard applied to Sevco when dealing with Celtic.

Clearly seat sales should come second. But the people running the game care not a jot, and never have, about sporting integrity.

The SFA and SPFL have for years had a bookies representative on their boards to deliver the bookies demands. This was in return for sponsorship money. Fans interests were never represented.

Ironic, isn’t it, that the bookies get board members and power and influence through giving away fans lost bets money, but the fans get no influence over the SFA/ SPFL at all.

Full stadiums have more captured punters for bookies, just like racecourses. Footballers are the new Nags.

I always wondered what rhymed with Wags.
