Well, that was an utter disgrace and needs a scatter gun approach when dissecting an awful display. If you eliminate the game, it's clear things are not right. I noticed a few weeks ago the team seemed to have lost the closeness and edge they had, and last night seemed even worse.

What could have caused this? We have to ignore the gossip and deal in facts. At the season start we looked sharp and fit, not blowing teams away, but winning and the seeds were there for us to see. So what's happened? For me there are real problems, from Lawwell and BR's relationship to the players with BR. Last nights presser by BR was cutting and clearly a dig.

Players in my opinion need to face up first and foremost. We have games where some players are just not on it, CalMac and Jamesy were empty shirts last night, and a defence that is likely to concede with any kind of ball into the box. Every time a cross, low or high, comes into our zone it's like someone pulled the pin on a grenade. Gordon, especially last nights goal, must be looked at. Personally i would have Bain in, comes for crosses which alleviates some pressure off the defence and is much better with the ball at his feet.

We have no insight here, and that's the trouble. Celtic are expecting this to burn itself out i would think. Win the next three and all is well. Right now i find the idea of us winning three games in a row laughable, not because we could not do it, but for us to win any game right now we need a two goal start. Teams don't need to attack us, just wait till a dead ball, punt it in the box and we will cough something up.

Hi Lads,

First time poster but long time reader, I agree with everyone we definitely need to freshen up the squad but I also feel as soon as the window shuts it should bring an end to all this negativity and the lads will push on, I think Brendan and Brooney will drill it into the lads we are a unit and will be more determined to shut that other lot up! I’m hoping that all we need is one good result to kick start our season and maybe that young lad we brought in from City might bring that spark we need.

Surely to god we'll see the Lithuanians off next week? That was a pub team we played last night and we looked the same.
It doesn't take a genius to see the way Slippy will set up for the 2nd. Long, high balls up to the Laughfarty one and the angry Buffalo feeding off him. Even with his tendency to balloon over the bar and get caught offside, he will get enough chances to score. It really, really pains me to say but this is the first Celtic Sevco game I am worrying about.
The next three games are going to be pivotal for our season.

There is absolutely no doubt the manager's demeanor and body language is affecting the team and our defenders have lost concentration and their basic ability to defend, while the forward players are falling into bad habits, predictability and even going through the motions (Forrest, Moussa and McGregor last night) .
The distractions and disruption will settle down - one way or another - but we really need more leadership on the field.
Apart from Brown - who has struggled all season, there are no big personalities, leaders, or organizers - especially at the back and it is so obvious when things go wrong, or we have a set-back.
Most of the current team need to snap out of it as they are not wee bhoys anymore and have more experience of the demands of playing for Celtic, the pride, passion and winning mentality.
The manager may still have an axe to grind with Lawell and time will tell what concludes; but it's time these players gave themselves a shake and prove they are still the best in the land.
