Now EDouard out with a hamstring injury and may niss EL layoff games.
My question are these.
Is there are a problem a) with our training pitches at Lennoxtown to cause so many of these type of injuries (Dembele, Griffiths, Forrest etc) or b) are the training methods employed by Brendan and his staff causing these injuries or c) is it simply too many games in a short space of time when players not fully fit.

He picked the injury up against Hearts, one of the most common injuries in football players so I’d guess it was just hard luck sadly timalloy!

I read strikers do get these types of injuries more often because of the way they train, (a lot of acceleration) .

Don’t know how accurate it is. However I’m not convinced it’s all down to luck. You don’t often see Ronaldo missing games due to injury. When he does get injured it’s never for long spells.

{Ed007's Note - If I remember right, Andy Ronaldo had problems with his ankles(?) while at Man Utd and they nearly put paid to his move to Madrid. I think some of it must be down to their age and the physical demands put on young players whose bodies are still developing and I really I do think luck plays a part in that.}

Didn’t actually know that about Ronaldo mate but no doubt luck plays a part.

I remember watching something years ago about these guys who sold this special pool (definitely not it’s correct name) to top clubs, they claimed it could significantly increase recovery of players.

I just wonder whether these kind of facilities the top clubs have could make a difference. Or whether it’s a case of Ronaldo knowing his body because he seems to recover from injuries quicker than deadpool!

{Ed007's Note - Or Dr Fuentes worked his magic 😉

Andyh93

Done a tour of lennoxtown once. Had a pool where players went in for muscle strains. Wasn't the size of a swimming pool but seemed big enough for its requirements. The whole sport science side of the tour seemed very well structured.
