We saw at Tynecastle what happens when you don't play your strongest 11, Lustig should be dropped and Gamboa giving a run in the team! Lustig is finished for me. Bain ahould be No.1 imo.

Lustig probably just needs resting up. Had an arduous summer and came back sooner than most (I think) . Don't know when his contract is up, but he's still got a lot to offer. Even if he's only around to take the piss out the cops when we win the treble treble.

We all loveLustig, but time waits for no man and he needs to be replaced as no 1 right back. It happens to every player. If we have any real ambition to improve, which after this abortive close season seems doubtful, then he should be back up.

All this waitingvfor the English market bullrubbish needs to be knocked on the head. Average players go for a fortune and are paid a fortune. We can’t compete in it for the quality we need at the price we can afford. If we are looking there then we are wasting time and ultimately money. Look at the AEK defence. There are players out there, not in England, but elsewhere and the scouts need to find them. And fast.

Agree Bain should get a chance, Gordons footballing skills are abysmal. He's got two passes, one to an opponent and one straight out for a throw in.

Before B R came to the club, any goalkeeper that managed to keep pass backs from going into the goal was considered good enough with his feet . Now B R has changed our expectations . I agree C G can be poor with his kicking, but I also think our back four and midfielders don't get to their positions quick enough and sometimes he is left with few options
This is a problem with many teams, remember France in the World Cup . The pass down the middle is really a suicide pass.

Lustig is in danger of sliding from Celtic folklore to villain and BR is caught in the middle because we simply do not have anyone else with his experience in defense.
