Don't envy your work Ed having to read all the garbage that's being written it must be horrendous it's amazing all those that have came out the woodwork and those who aren't bothered about football all of a sudden know celtic got beat. Last nights gone it's about how we now move forward as a team. We all know we are weak at RB and Centre Half we have also lost Armstrong who chipped in with a few goals so he needs replaced PR done nothing last season and I'm happy he won't be returning. Good luck to the bhoy. It's over to the board now do they trust BR with money or do they want to rest and hope we somehow win the league again in danger of the team stagnating.

Surely it was over to the board last month. In football there is not much point being reactive, it’s usually too late by then.

I’ve not seen much garbage written on here. What I find strange is the reluctance of some people ( not all ) that don’t like critisism. That starting 11 last night had 9 players that all played under RD. That to me isn’t a team with rodgers stamp on it. Sure he’s came in, some players have stepped their game up but others haven’t. Everyone accepts this is the double treble winners, invincible etc, that will never be taken away from them but at a competitive European level they’re not good enough especially in defence. 3 goals over 2 legs AEK scored and everyone of them was handed on a plate. The defence is rotten it’s that simple. Gamboa, been here 2 years and can’t get in ahead of a poor lustig, jozo not good enough and clearly isn’t rated by rodgers when hendry and ajer both with limited European experience play ahead of him. The only quality defender we have is Tierney. Boyata is an out and our disgrace. What does Lee Congerton bring to the table? 2 years that clowns been here and for all we’ve brought in ntcham, Sinclair, dembele ( who I think was on RD’s radar anyway) and now Edouard. He’s also had a hand in bringing in de vries, hendry, gamboa, comper, not one decent defender amongst them. Never mind looking at more midfielders/ strikers 2 new Cb’s a RB are a necessity ASAP. and if this is me hitting the panic button etc then fine, Celtic fans don’t need the press to point out our failings, they’re glaring obvious for all to see.

Gerry we have all been crying out for a RB and a CH for a few seasons if we can all see it surely BR and the board can. Who’s to say Lee Congerton or BR have not identified targets and the board have not went after them? Celtic never strengthen when we are on top it’s as if we wait for teams to improve. Some of BR signings have been terrible but not every signing will be a success. RB CH And Attacking Mid for me, Rogic is not European level.

Campsie hoy your right, Celtic over the years are renowned for not building on success, but like you say and everyone knows, we’ve been screaming out for a solid if not 2 CB’s for long enough, we’ve been screaming out for a new RB, are we seriously expected to believe we can afford £9 million on an untried 20 year old striker but have no money to strengthen that defence? I’m sorry but the way Brendan goes on about boyata you’d think he was his love child, boyata is a bombscare of a defender and always has been from the day he arrived at the club, and if that’s the best that we can attract to Celtic then boy we really are in trouble.

Rangers have no monry but hsve still managed to give SG something like £6mill to nuy new players on top of £8mill given to Pedro last year. Our net spend is well below Rangers.
