I am not buying this nonsense that the club aren’t going to back Rodgers anymore, if it’s the case that they aren’t going to back the most successful manager we have had, arguably, since MON then it sure as hell means we aren’t going to back a new manager.

We are obviously not looking in the right places for talent as when was the last time we unearthed a player like wanyama?

I agree that the stories in the paper are nonsense.

In answer to your question, since Wanyama we have unearthed Dembele, Edouard, Ntcham, Ajer and VVD. Remember, when you are buying players with potential, not all of them will reach their potential.

As well as being very difficult to attract quality players to Scottish football and inability to satisfy greedy wage demands, there is also the problem of trimming the existing squad and off-loading the dead wood. We will very rarely recoup their original price (if any) and the best we can usually hope for is cutting losses to reduce the wage bill or loan out until such times as their contract expires. At present there are several players that do not feature seriously in the managers plans and they need to make way.

Callum our most successful manager is not Brendan. 1888 not 1998.
