Well there you have it, turns out we are not ever Europa league level. What an eye opener. Absolutely pathetic. Brown, Ayer, tierney and ntcham the only players worth keeping. Rodgers needs to take his fair share. He's one dimensional, has no plan b and it's quite obvious Celtics defensive coaching weather it be from Rogers or not is not good enough. Enough is enough, something really needs to change drastically weather it's at the very top or in the playing squad. Maybe we ask UEFA to set up a 3rd tier competition for the likes of scottish, icelandic and irish teams because that's the level par we are on. Whoever decided its acceptable to go into the second half of the season with de vries as no1 needs sacked weather it's Rogers or higher up.

Away and have a lie down Irish, talk about over reaction, think I'll leave it a few days on here, cannot take the endless negativity after a defeat much more. 😣😣.

We are all hurting and angry after tonight and I'm sure more than half the team will be very disappointed in their non-performance.
Unfortunately, the same players who beat Anderlecht away and Zenit at home (give or take) seem unable to replicate form, consistency and concentration over two legs and even more significant is the basic, schoolboy errors that we have seen all too often in a Celtic defense - especially from Lustig, Simunovic and goalkeeper.
It's over now and the worst thing that can happen is for any kind of Euro-hangover hampering the team and support, from the job in hand as we go for another title and hopefully the SC.
You could see the pain on BR's face after the game and I would hope that come the summer, he will do what's required in the transfer market as he must see by now who is holding us back.

The most baffling thing to me is that it was clear Gordon needs replaced and instead of making a signing that can potentially rival him and hopefully replace him. We loan someone that realistically will go back to hibs at the end of the season. Ward is a lad you may need to put a few quid down on but Klopp has made it clear he will most likely buy a new GK rather than giving him a chance (I expect Butland will be who they buy this summer) . Even a loan deal and see what happens similar to Forester! Rosbach is another one who may cost a few quid but would be a worthy investment.

The thing I'm wondering is whether its the board not signing who Rodgers wants but find that unlikely due to the fact player wise and facility wise they have met all his demands (as far as has been made public anyway) . Or whether its BR thinking that the squad is better than it really is.

Don’t agree with much of above but spot on about De Vries. Total journeyman 2nd string goalie, and 37 to boot. Should never have been left with him as GK for the business end of the season. Gordon may have his faults but he is in a different league to De Vries, who is less than average all round.

Agree with a lot you said iriskkiwi. Have to say stevie l am not sure what game you were watching if you think that's an over reaction. This is a side we played off the park last week and today we looked liked a rabbit in the headlights. I would have to include forrest on that list of players who were good tonight irishkiwi.

I already posted what l thought of De vires. Total utter shit. If Scott bain can't get a game after that rubbish god help him.

Oscar do you not think it's an over reaction with comments like Brown Ntcham Tierney and Ajer only players worth keeping, talking about We're on a par with Irish and Icelandic teams and suggesting Rodgers should be sacked. Anyway can't be arsed with the doom and gloom merchants like yourself and IrishKiwi.

Stevie if you're happy having the wool pulled over your eyes by the board and taking thumping after thumping in Europe and 1 good performance in every 10 then more power to you. Wake up and smell the sh*te mate. It's there for all to smell.

IrishKiwi how do you propose a way of starting to compete against teams that can spend 100 to 500 million assembling their teams? Think you and many others need a reality check and realise football has changed dramatically for the worse over the last 5 years. By the way have you ever seen a really bad Celtic team? If you think this is a bad Celtic team then you can't be much older than 25.

By the way stevie where did l say that those players u mentioned are only worth keeping. I never did so get your facts right. I posted earlier to say l felt sorry for those players like brown, kt, ajer, ntcham and forrest. They were the only ones to turn up as they do most weeks. Nothing about they are the only players we should keep. I said l agreed with a lot of what IrishKiwi said not all. I said from the start we can't compete with most teams in Europe due to finance. That's just life but some of these players are not good enough for celtic.

You can't compete with 500m teams but I'd hardly call Lincoln red imp, Astana, anderlect or even zenit for that matter 500m teams.
