Didn't expect to go through when the draw was made. But after the first leg went and got my hopes up.

Absolute joke of a performance tonight. Lustig is finished. We are shitebags away from home in Europe.

Starting to doubt Rodgers ability to take us to the next level in Europe. No point in kidding. He's done the lot domestically can't take that away from him. At the end of the day last season is last season. Maybe it's the boards lack of investment but BR said he was happy with the backing he's had. Nonetheless that team should have been set up better tonight. Even with injuries there's enough players there capable of putting in a better performance.

{Ed007's Note - What's the next level in Europe for us, realistically?}

Fair question. I think we need to evaluate how far we can go season by season. Our chances of progressing to latter stages hinges on who we get drawn against.

I’m more annoyed with the pathetic performance after putting ourselves in such a good position.

But it’s Rodgers who said he wanted to take us further in Europe. That he’d be judged on that.

{Ed007's Note - The aim was always to get European football after Christmas (so really he has taken us further this season) but I totally agree with you about tonight's performance, after last week the player's had a great chance of progressing but they've been poor tonight.}

The next level for us in Europe has to be consistency above anything else. Big Sutton called it in the commentary, we play great one game and then get hammered the next. We all got our hopes up after last week but if we’re honest, are any of us surprised by tonight? I’m certainly not. It leaves a sour taste to see a Celtic team look so afraid out there.

I'd like to congratulate the BR and the Bhoys, if we go out, on hitting my European target for this season.

Big pressure on the boys for Sunday’s game, it’s time to show a bit of fight.

Went out with a whimper yet again, three poor goals gave away again. We just can’t defend in a European game, same story all the time. Really frustrating yet again, we need some better defenders for Europe especially if we want to improve . Can anyone on here really think Hendry is going to make a difference for us because I don’t .

What a difference a week makes is right. It's one thing to lose in Europe but to lose like that is shocking. A lot of players when missing. If either the keeper or lustig plays on Sunday then that said enough for me. That keeper is rubbish. A total liability. We may not be good enough at this level but how we can perform at home like that and then a week later like this l just don't know. Feel sorry for brown, kt, forrest and ajer. Scott bain has to be given a chance in goal.

I would say Ed that the aim is not necessarily to progess beyond the stage we have this season but to at least turn up in certain games. In no way I'm I slating BR or the team or expecting them to beat these teams but it can't be argued that there has been a considerable amount of performances this year where the majority of the team have looked pedestrian and more worryingly not fully committed. I would like us to get to a stage where we are at least asking a few questions of these teams for instance Bayern at home and can at least hold our heads up high that we have tried. The PSG home game I expected to be a humping but its the mannerisms if some players that is upsetting me. Anyway that's us for another year let's now focus on the domestic front and show the people that will berate us for this performance that they are not in our league 🍀.

{Ed007's Note - Strengthen the GK, RB and CB positions in the summer and try and find some consistency in Europe, we saw last week the level this team can play at and we need to try and do that more often.}

Really poor the night movement up top needs to change look at the so called creative players we have and nothing to show we gave the game away. Keeper does not believe in himself he needs to warm the bench up again. for me it's the lack of forward passing and get up and go for it passing was clearly no working over the top ball so no a bad thing sometimes changes the mind set of the other team surely.

Completely agree Ed with those 3 positions and we have known that for a while. As I mentioned above we had a perfect scenario to tick one of them off when Gordon got injured and ended up loaning a player that realistically we had no desire in signing.

Tonight I'm upset by the performance and desire from the players but as you've mentioned we have hit our targets and statistically if we secure another treble we have improved and look forward to getting our heads down now, playing our strongest lineup and with some extremely important injuries returning that contributed massively to our success last season (which I think a lot of folk underestimate) . Reaffirming we are heads and shoulders above the rest domestically.

{Ed007's Note - I'm disappointed that we didn't make more of a game of it tonight, I was pretty confident of scoring over there but that early goal knocked the stuffing out of us.}
