Back to a big European night in Paradise when our fans once again have the opportunity to prove how good they are .
It's my experience that on big European nights our fans are far more supportive than in any domestic matches . Less audible groans and certainly the shouts of abuse are silenced and not heard like in domestic games

Tomorrow night does not worry me and I am not as nervous as when we play Aberdeen or Hibs in a domestic game. We are clearly an inferior team than Zenit and even if by some great fortune we manage to get to next round we are unlikely to proceed further . We may not like it but playing in Scotland and with so little Tv and sponsorship money available to us we are clearly second division in Europe at best . All we can hope to achieve at this stage is qualification for European Football after Chritmas like we achieved this season . Maybe with Brendan Rodgers at the helm we may in two or three yrs time, we will have gathered a team of youngsters with the ability and hunger to compete in Europe at a higher level . To do that we need more European experience and certainly more luck than this season . We were drawn against PSG and B . Munich ( current heavy weights of European football) and Anderlect certainly no slouches . Then after playing approx 40 games pre Christmas, we had a three week break and now have practically a full team injured .
Now is the time to cross our fingers and support our great club as best we can .

I don't mind the starry eyed view of the future, why not? I wouldn't mind that in the slightest. It's the first part Chris "our fans once again have the opportunity to prove how good they are". Id expect that as a bare minimum.
I want the players to run like men possessed. Play a forward pass. Bully thier defence and have a good go.

Mallthetally, I am setting my hopes at a realistic level .
Anything can happen but a result tomorrow night with all our injuries would rank amongst the best ever .

Rglen Our fans will start supportive enough, but a few misplace passes and the moans and groans will start the negatives but hopefully the 55k + supporters will drown them out . It's important that we keep the ball until midfielders and or front men get a wee bit of room to receive a pass .
I don't think the back four want to keep the ball all the time but there is no point in them giving the ball away.

Can't really argue some of that Chris. The groans are involuntary, it can't be helped. Its the player that has to take it on the chin and try again. That's what they are paid stupid money to do. The team's play will dictate the crowd. Do the simple stuff, get stuck in and the crowd will keep the noise at a good level. I want an anwser from the lads wearing the jersey.

Really the crowd are our supporters, most of them are supporters from infancy . Some of the players are Celtic men eg. Tierney and Forrest, but most of them are with us to either fill their bank accounts or using us to get to their Holy Ground the EPL .
I would expect the true natural sequence of events would be for life long Celtic supporters to drive on the players to greater heights.
