Quite a few moaning about yesterdays surface. Ajer played on it 16 times last season without problem. Infact we played some of our best football on it this season back in August. No point blaming it for a loss because it's never mentioned after a win.

We simply had too many passengers yesterday.

Stan, We did have too many passengers yesterday but a surface like that NEEDS watered and it was kept intentionally arid in my opinion just like the pitch in Gibraltar

When NOT watered it becomes dangerous to play and injury threatening OFFICIALS should have a role in ensuring it is suitable IMO.

Killie are putting their own players in danger if that's the case Jamie, would Stevie Clark allow that? It didn't seem to affect how Killie played, I'm not even sure the surface would have been mentioned had we won, like in August.

It needs watered Stan and if you have home advantage and play on it untreated you can have a wee advantage IMO plus its then set up for a difficult game productive wise

So Jozo and others are kept of a surface like that for what other reason? Look at the landings of Boyata and Ajer surface at fault IMO.

I am 16 years older than Jozo and play on an Astro that is G2 twice a week. That i believe is 2 levels below what Killie have installed. Jozo is weak mentally and physically if he can't play on surfaces like that. Every Celtic fan on this site would play on burning coals to wear that shirt. Not saying you are wrong about the watering etc Jamie i just ain't using the surface as a reason for our loss. The bigger issue was as many as 4 or 5 being passengers. BR is quick to change a winning team, i hope he is as quick to change a losing team.

I said it yesterday in a post and Rodgers confirmed it in an interview afterwards, far too many passes across the backline, across the middle and from the halfwayline back to the keeper. Now either the tactics need looked at or the players yesterday weren't following the instructions. We're trying to play our normal game on a pitch that isn't fit for that level it's that simple. Take nothing away from kille, that win was fully deserved and shouldve been by more but we've got to combat certain conditions and surface's and we just didn't do it yesterday. We tried to play our passive, expansive fee flowing football on a pitch that's not suitable, that along with big players not turning up on the day, that's what cost us. I just wish yesterday when we knew it wasn't working try the long ball and bully the defenders rather than trying to pass through them.

Pitch is the same for both teams whether it's watered or not.

I don't see how home advantage makes it any less dangerous, ludicrous comment.

Better team won the game. Wasn't pretty but that's besides the point.

The reason for the over passing across the back line and midfield was due to the work rate the Killie players put in shutting down space and players. Are we too one paced and predictable is Rodgers having a second season meltdown or is it just coaches and players saw how we set up and how players performed and got a little wiser to it? It does happen but still well clear at the top biggest club in the country a cup in the bag and still in Europe? Real Madrid struggling the mighty citeh draw with Burnley last I saw Barcelona were getting best. Results like this happen that’s what makes football the best sport in the world and why we all like be it! Mon the hoops 🙂⚽️🍀.

Yesterday's game needed players than get stuck in about them alas only 1 turned up. Still cantering the league despite 7or8 player's injured who would normally be in the starting 11.We lost a game get over it. Hopefully we go up a few gears for the next 3 home games v Partick Zenit and St Johnstone. The next 2 away games after St Johnstone are Zenit and Aberdeen. A big month ahead so let's enjoy it. Keep the faith.

The problem of packing the defence requires someone to beat a player or two to open up space. Didn’t happen much and even when it did the final baw passing was atrocious.

No player looked up and took them on. Always the safe pass. Give the responsibility to someone else. They were happy to sit off and crowd us out. With nobody able to beat a man and end with a good pass led to one poxy strike on target over 90 minutes.

I’m hoping it was just the pitch.
