Why would anyone on here want a keeper who is 38 next month, well past his prime and can't get a game at Bournemouth F C?

The thing is kev, i doubt Rodgers would've even been looking to bring a keeper in this month but he's no choice now and with very little time left it's more than likely going to be a loan keeper until the summer when we can really go out and get a new no1. Boruc for example may be 38, might not be getting a game at Bournemouth but if he does come in till the summer I'm sure he'd get us by certainly domestically anyway.

Ask yourselves this do you think the Celtic fans would accept ANY OTHER 38 year old keeper who couldn't get a game at his club?

You're right Kev we wouldn't. But if Boruc is still fit he is a different proposition. I know it's nostalgic and it might be the wrong move, but I love big Artur and would go for him, but I take your point completely.

Every day people on this site are screaming about spending money and making signings that enhances our team. Boruc wouldn't do That. He's done and I wouldn't be to surprised to see him retire at end of the season.
Just another Keane cole or Ljungberg.

Marshall is a keeper who I think is better than Gordon but I'd like us to go for ward or Gunn on permanent deal.

As I said Kev, I take your point. It is hope over the possible reality. I want a top class keeper. It's probably down to my long term feeling our board having difficulty breaking a tenner.

There is no use going cheap on a goalie considering how vital that position is. I am without a doubt relying on nostalgia and the more I think about it the more I'm coming over to your point of view.

It's an emotional thing and that's not the answer.

To be fair I have a hangover and this is probably the reason I'm indulging in nostalgia instead of a harsh look at the facts.

Still love big Artur though. :)
