If it's the same knee that he's had problems with before then it could be curtains for him. Gordon would have had to be replaced sooner or later anyway so it's now time to find his replacement.

Best wishes to Craig Gordon. This will probably finish him. Hope not. Good luck Craig.

Vorm
Ward
Boruc

Potentially one of those coming in?

De Vries has actually been decent when needed this season but surely it would be pointless to sign a back up for your back up keeper? Still think Vorm is no1 target but not sure Spurs would let him go in January.

Vorm is 34 and would probably cost a few quid, boruc is of a similar age and would likely cost the same, ward is young and inexperienced but he's the one I would go for, or maybe the young Norwegian Lad who's name I can never remember haha.

LM

I suggested 2 of them in an earlier post along with Tim Krul. He is at Brighton and not playing so could be an option? Also what about Randolph at West Ham who I didn’t mention?

I also wondered if anyone knew what the emergency loan rule is for goalkeepers? That could give us a bit more than 4 days to get someone in as we may well be able to sign someone outside the window.

David Marshall, is out on loan, he has plenty of experience and would know the place and what it means to play for us, He is not a bad keeper either, and would not be too hard to buy.

Randolph not at Boro now?

The timing might affect who we go for. If this was a week ago and gordon got injured we’d have more time to go after a young keeper who we’d scouted be our longterm no1. Given its happened with only 4 days left I can see the keeper who comes in only being on loan for 6 months to get us by.

It all depends on his injury and is it career changing I hope not but if it is there will be efforts to get strong keeper for now and next seasons ahead but it might have to be a short term loan at first with view to buying. But it depends on what's in at the academy will c over next three days what your thoughts EDs?

{Ed007's Note - There's nobody in the academy who can step up, Conor Hazard went out on loan to Falkirk and the rest are far too young to even risk putting them on the bench.}

If we didn't already have a list of keepers even before the injury then the scouting department are not doing their jobs right.

Agreed Kev (given a thumbs up) but I reckon we have been scouting for a new number 1 for the Summer and they may not be available in this window.

For me a short term loan would be the best option rather than taking a second choice on a permanent deal.

Borough paid 7 million for Randolph, he is playing blinders and keeping them in playoff contention.

I see musonda on the bench today he's already half way up the road just come up after the game haha.
