Bursting with pride reading that! Excellent stuff.

{Ed001's Note - thank you mate. Difficult one to do, I knew almost nothing about them when I started the research and almost every article I read online was a c'n'p of the wiki article! Most of the rest were focused on the Celtic fans view of it, which is great and really interesting stuff about the Celticade etc, but it was not fitting with what I was trying to write about in this series. I want it to be about the teams and why they deserve to be considered amongst the greatest teams in history. Then I had to collaborate with Ed007 to ensure there was no errors or that it came across like I was just having a dig at Celtic for Stein and the way the Lions were treated later on. Obviously, to me anyway, those things are relevant and show how they have gone through adversity to be recognised as legends, it wasn't handed to them all on a plate, like many modern players get.}

Couldn’t agree more and the thing that always seems to shine through is the fantastic team spirit they had compared to teams Of now and by that a don’t mean Celtic teams I mean teams in general. Couldn’t meet a nicer group of people and the lions played football because they loved it not because of the money. Excellent stuff.

There is an error in the article.

"No team from Scotland, before or since, have even reached the final of the European Cup, and this was Celtic's first attempt to win a trophy that so far had never been won by a British team. "

This is not true as Celtic also reached the final in 1970 and we were beaten by Feyenoord in the final. Tommy Gemmel getting scoring in his second European Cup final.

{Ed001's Note - apologies, all the articles had that same error in that I read. No idea how so many have got that wrong then.}
