I posted last week that Stones of Man City was a donkey and all the millions they paid for him, well today against Liverpool, he added cowardice to his level of "skill"
When we complain about our defenders, Boyata, Shviachenko etc just remember it could be worse, we could have big lassies like Stones as our defender.

They are still not good enough for where we as fans want our team to be. once we have all finished patting each others backs for our great season last year we will realise that this season we haven't hit the heights.
I think the BR factor for some players is fading and they are falling back to there level.
The team not the squad needs 2 or 3 to walking in and freshen the place up.
Will it happen?
We only have a couple of weeks to find out if our signing policy is all smoke and mirrors.

There's no doubt that BR brought out an improvement in some existing players who otherwise might have been out the door, but he has had a few 'windows' to shuffle the pack and he has generally stuck with most of the squad he inherited - so he must see enough in training to satisfy himself that we only need to tweak things or replace any star players that attract bids that meet our valuation?
We all know that quite a few players have so far failed to reach last seasons high standards and consistency, but hopefully this break will help recharge and refresh, as well as add a new face or two to give us a wee boost for the run-in and beyond.

Oh Tim, you really are deluded.

Robertson looked classy going forward but slack at the back for Liverpool. But we have it covered. The EPL is not the answer.

I agree with you Tim, Stones is another player who is vastly overrated, you have to be able to see through all the hype, but there are some on this site who have not yet achieved that level of enlightenment, grasshopper.

I think when you see Stone a £50m player struggling like he does then u should realise that playing centre half in an attacking team is an almost impossible task . If attackers and midfield players have space in front of the centre backs then your cb's will be made to look very ordinary indeed .
That's what BR talks about when he says we defend as a team, too often we leave our centre backs exposed and maybe the training twice a day in the heat will improve that.
