Is it just me or have we been shocking this season.

We started off well and looked like we had strength in depth. Now we had 1 rb and 1 lb. Jozo and boyata don't seem anywhere near the level of last year due to carrying injuries. Armstrong not a goal threat anymore it seems. Sinky and paddy not playing well. Rogic for some reason not getting a game. Moussa injured.

Although we have been so poor and only good game i've seen us play was vs aberdeen away, we are still top of league, cup in the bag and chance of Europa (i reckon were in for a nervy one vs anderlecht) .

In saying that i've seen better celtic teams lose cup finals etc so i hope things can kick on now. We have a lot of games coming up so i hope we can pick up form before winter break.

Injuries and a big invincible monkey on your back can do that to any team. We have been poor at times, been thumped a couple more. I think we have been brave as well, dug deep and won matches no matter what has been thrown at us.

{Ed007's Note - We just need to step it up a gear, we know this squad is capable of destroying any team in Scotland but we don't seem to be playing with the same intensity as we've seen.
The players themselves will know they've not been at their best and after the CL ends and the break until hopefully the EL starts for us we can get back into our rhythm and tighten our grip on our domestic domination.
I said on the live chat, whenever we go to Fir Park we either run riot or struggle to get anything, thankfully the ref made up for wrongly giving Motherwell the free-kick at their goal by rightly awarding our penalty - see these things do even themselves out over a season.}

I think how teams are setting up against us this year is different to last year as well. There are times that some teams have all 11 of their player in and around the box. Making it hard to break them down.

Don’t think shocking is the right word mate but we’ve been nowhere near the levels of last season! The goals have dried up from middle to front. sinclair and Armstrong were scoring for fun last season as was Griffith and Moussa but they really seem to be toiling just now! Every game is a grind at the moment and like ED says there’s no rhythm to our play! We need at settled 11 for a decent run of games but that hasn’t happened. not a worry by any means but I think we need to give someone a good beating soon to get back on track, starting with the mighty well on Saturday! Need to up the gears a bit now lads COYBIG.

There is no doubt that there are goals right through this squad, but unfortunately although we are creating plenty chances (even when we are not at our best) , the composure, confidence and clinical finish is lacking and the possible factors have been covered above.
There is an incredibly busy schedule in December, including the Europa League decider and eight league games, so it is very possible we will not win all of these games going on current performances, but there is no doubting the fight, determination and effort being shown at present .
Unbeaten runs always come to an end and the eventual record will stand for longer than most of us ha ha. (just make the opponent and the result as bearable as possible)
The winter break will be a very welcome rest for the club, with time to heal and re-charge and there is absolutely no doubt that many of these guys have yet to peak and then watch us go in 2018.

Think shocking is a bit harsh but as others have said we have been a shadow of ourselves compared to last season.

Think we need a couple of additions in January just to inject a new lease of life into squad and ensure there is constantly real competition for places. Couple of defenders (CB and full-back cover are a must) and also a winger who can play both sides - apart from Roberts, we don't have a silky player who can beat his man.

Nobody wants to lose the unbeaten run (certainly not me) but winning another treble and competing in Europa League is more important.

The fact we can suffer a dip in form from a few players, not be at our best and yet remain unbeaten is a great sign of the strength of the team. For me, I want this run to end with an epic 6-5 loss to Aberdeen, Ryan Christie scoring all 6 just before he comes back, a result which knocks Sevco out of the European spots and into administration. If it has to end, that will do me.

Maybe some of the players who have been playing week in - week out are getting a bit tired and stale? In my opinion once the unbeaten monkey's off the teams back then we should start seeing some of the fringers getting their development chance.

I suspect that the early start to the season, coupled with a large number of games and short summer break has a major part to play in our performances this season.

After the winter break I suspect we will move out of second gear and let rip for the remainder of the season as we won't be playing as much games and have more time between games.

I think we are unfortunate that we have shocking fans that are lmpossible to please and satisfy. Supporters like these are more likely to moan and write and shout abuse at our players and manager, than to support and encourage them .
We haven't been shocking at anytime this season but have been very consistent in domestic football and despite our heavy work load of matches we continue unbeatable.
Maybe the reason our players look tired is that K T, P R and M D among others are seen to be rubbing their eyes as evening K O's arn't over until after their bed time.
