I am personally delighted with the Astana draw, regardless of the travelling etc. I would like to make a few points.

1. I think we were comfortable the other night against Rosenberg, if not spectacular. A week on from the draw at home the improvement was there. We will keep edging forward and find the spark of last season very soon. The player's are still getting into their rhythm but it will click soon enough. At full strength we will see a massive difference in performances.

2. I have noticed a bit of criticism creeping into posts in the last few weeks, especially towards BR. I think everyone needs to remain calm. We have negotiated the first two hurdles of the season already. It wasn't pretty and we won't get gold stars, but the job was done. The manager shuffled the pack because he had to. Sure there was some square pegs in round holes but the reality is circumstances dictated that. When the squad is fully fit and one or two more is added then we will be flying again.

The new recruits also need a bit of time to settle in. It doesn't bother me that Ntcham is on the bench at the minute. It may have been a massive fee but he has to prove he is deserving of a starting place, like everyone else.

That's a fair enough post. In terms of criticism I think it's a tribute to how well BR did last season that the fans hold him to that high standard. The Rosenborg home game he got a lot of stick because he didn't change things when it clearly wasn't going to plan.

I just love reading what Rodgers has to say about our club and football in general.

I don't think anyone is getting at Rodgers personally but I do think fans are worried that Roberts has not been replaced and wether others agree or not we are not as strong as we where with him.

Obviously BR and us fans want him back but if it's not going to happen then I just hope an alternative is already scouted and lined up.

Can't wait for today, hope to see a devastating display of intent that we are taking no prisoners this year.

The one frustrating part for me is not seeing the youth progressing as they should.

Fair enough Bitton had a decent game at centre half but what about McCart or moving Lustig in to centre half and playing Ralston?

Up front what about Nesbitt, Aitchison or Crossan who were all playing at Albion Rovers on Tuesday when Leigh was only fit enough for the bench on Wednesday?

Either these guys are good enough or they aren't. Yes they are young and inexperienced but the only way they will learn is by getting a chance like KT, Forrest and McGregor did.

If they aren't good enough we need to buy someone who is.

I think there are many valid points raised above by all and we are all guilty of airing our frustrations at times. There has been progress and the team will click into gear and with a full paradise this should start today.

In BR we have a high class manager who speaks very well and it is true that he has not faced a real test of his management at CP yet.

I do agree that some clarity and action needs to be taken in addressing the areas in the team that are short. I'd also like the Armstrong situation sorted one way or another. The longer it goes on it becomes a nonsense.

Niall, spot on mate. We definitely need to see some of these young players getting game time more regularly. A game here and there is no use to properly gauge their ability and contribution to the team.
