I have been thinking a while that young Henderson needs to leave Celtic for the good of his career.
Last night after seeing ntcham and benyu reinforced that belief.
He's a very good young player and I am a real fan of his but I just can't see him getting game time.

Personally i think it'd be a mistake to let himgo. if not in immediate plans for br I'd like him to go to hibs or Aberdeen and get a full season under his belt in the spl and we could then see his potential. i don't think he's far behind any of the midfielders but he won't be able to prove or improve his worth sitting on the bench or stands . hopefully we'll see more rotation this season if we get to go and he'll get game Time. him kouassi benyu biton could cover more than adequately in spl. and rotate into the first 11.

{Ed007's Note - Henderson's contract is up next summer so a years loan wouldn't help us, we'd be better selling him on or letting him go to further his career.}

Even with rotation he won't get enough game time. He is well down the ranks. If he doesn't leave his career is going to stall.

I rate the lad and would be gutted to see him go as i think over the last few seasons if he was given a good run of games he would have kept his place in the side, but now we have an abundance of midfielders who look more than capable of being stars for us so i think now is the time to move him on for the good of his career. He is more than capable of starting every week for any other club in the SPL. At this stage of his career Hibs would be a good move for him to get plenty game time and develop and he has openly said he loved his time at Easter Road. Who knows we might see him back at CP in the future its just not the right time for him at the moment he is too good to be sitting watching games every week. Wish the lad nothing but success in his career.

Didn't know that ed . if another midfielder comes in like pasilic as rumoured . what's the point of Henderson hill Johnston etc staying at the club to just play development games and get occasional bench splinters.

I just don't think he is good enough to force his way into contention and we should look to sell him. That would be in the best interest of both parties. As ed pointed out a year left on his contract, no game time means we get nothing. He is worth possibly £1.5m and that is better spent on either helping us buy, or pay wages for better players.

He would be the top player in every other team in scotland, but, we have moved beyond his capabilities imo.

It just shows how well we are developing as a team. Some great midfield players now. Would rather sell Bitton if honest.

Bitton looks to be surplus now too. A few million for him would also be the right option. It's always a bit sad when players move on. But, we want to get better and that raises the bar. The bar has risen, I'm happier with that.

Magicpole Bitton would do well in a technical league like Spain or Italy rather than the blood and thunder of British football I think. His main let down is that he slows the play down far too often.

I agree Kevboy. The type of game we are playing requires speed and movement. Bitton is suited to a less dynamic counter attack. I hope we get a few bob for him.
