Is this some sort of sick joke regarding the charges UEFA have just brought against Celtic? What next? Going to charge Celtic for every goal that goes in against the scum Wednesday? Maggots!

This charge is ridiculous. What sort of precedent does that set, and how far are they willing to take it? Will they start disciplining players for tying scarfs or flags round their neck or shoulders? The kid had been showered with abuse, bottles and other missiles for 90 minutes. This is nothing short of scale balancing and I hope the Club lawyers tell them to work it up their eye.

LG is the stupid one, He had no need to provoke an already volitile situation. It is all very well giving your heart and soul to the club but you have too keep the heed. Stein would never allow his players to behave in such a manner and i don't believe BR won't either. This could mean the end for LG at celtic park as soon as a suitable replacement is found.
It is doubley stupid as he could be the only recoginised striker if MD leaves or is injured and what if he is banned for two games after we get through the next round. Would everyone who will condem this post feel the same if we cannot get through because of a lack of goals.

Think that's a bit overboard saying LG could be done at Celtic jonace. Im sure BR knows the boys personality, and how he is in certain situations, he should keep the head i agree, but its one thing to take verbals and another when objects are getting lobbed at your head. I wouldve lobbed it right back and with more velocity believe me😁, so for me, he kept it together well.

Don't get me wrong I thought it was funny when he done it after all the provocation he was taking. But it could now have serious affects to his career. If he is banned and dembele comes into the team and scores continually,
Leigh will be gutted at having to sit out. He has already stated that he doesn't want to sit on a bench this year. We all know br prefers dembele especially in the formation he likes to play. I would have loved to do the same as him if I was in his situation but it could end up being costly for him.

Did any other celtic player feel the need to tie a scarf around a post, Have players not been pelted with objects before and not just at Celtic, Look at the ban given to Cantona for losing the plot and he played for the richist club in the world at that time. MON got rid of Mahe for losing his rag against Rangers.
Any player who cannot control his emotions can be a liability
Even Scott Brown has had to temper his enthusisism and learned from his mistakes LG does not seem to be learning. A famous Italian manager ( i cannot remember who) said you can tell a player three times about something and if he still does not grasp this he never will.

Their referee has come out of this looking like a complete clown. They have to back him and this is their way of doing it. Simple as that.

Catch yourself on Jonace. LG stupid? goes without saying. LG's Celtic career over because he tied a scarf to a post? Give me a break!

The animals throwing bottles at him should be jailed nevermind banned. I am willing to bet that after the internal investigation Linfield blame the trouble on a 'rogue element' who don't usually attend games.

The game should never have been played in the first place if they couldn't guarantee our fans safety. What has transpired since reinforces that.

He won't get banned. It will be a fine. Also Celtic are getting done for having 5 player s booked which is standard. LG needs to stop playing to the Celtic support with the scarf around a post. If a sevco player did it at Celtic park we would be in uproar. It's just stupid and there is no need for it. Scoreing goals is the best thing that Leigh's can do to get back at the neds.

I may be wrong, but has LG not toed a scarf at every away match he played in last season? He hasn't been punished for any of them? So to say he did it to provoke fans might not hold up as a charge?

I think Scott Sinclair did it the right way by Scoring a goal.
Griffiths should realise that playing for Celtic will always draw abuse from some idiots, being able to ignore the abuse is the best response to it.

Healy's remarks about maybe needing a tin hat in the replay at parkhead, were made to try and belittle the seriousness of the object throwing at Windsor park, and, well I don't know why he had to say it,

UEFA are charging Celtic for having 5 bookings: one of them was Griffiths for delaying the corner after the bottle was thrown! They say that they can't overturn yellow cards but they should have a policy whereby exceptional circumstances apply but to stick so rigidly to the rules in this case just makes the whole shambles even more farcical. A player gets abuse for the whole game and has objects thrown at him and is then charged for tying a scarf to a post? If they can't even take that in retaliation then they really should be sectioned.

At least 3 of the bookings were a joke griffs was ridiculous if anything uefa should be reprimandkng the ref.

I suppose anyone who has experienced abuse and showered with objects including bottles know how to let off steam after the match is over . I would have thought every football person should concentrate on what LG had to put up during game . The referee, UEFA and even some Celtic supporters seem prepared to give the houligans a free hand to continue with their bigoted behaviour .

15.) 17 Jul 2017
17 Jul 2017 21:16:56
Griffiths needs to grow up, if he didn't do that, then he wouldn't be getting fined, if 1 of them did it to us we'd go mental so let's be honest and say he shouldn't have done it gibing they bigoted scum ba$€%#s an excuse.

Too true bhampot, he has to just suck up the punishment but highly doubt it's the end at Celtic park, when you have thousands of Huns baying, it must be hard to keep your head 🇮🇪.
