See BBC sport reporting that aiden mcgeady is off to Sunderland.

What's does everyone think - has he made the most of his career, developed significantly since he left the hoops?

I thought it was a bold statement by moving to Eastern Europe when he left us, but I never felt he delivered that much in England. It was time for him to move when he did go - I felt he was never going to progress any further at Celtic - similar to Forrest in that respect (in my opinion) .

Good luck to him - I enjoyed his time in the hoops.

I always enjoyed watching Aiden, The twist and turn for the Scott McDonald goal at Pittodrie a stand out memory for me. He's looked like his old self this season plenty game time and the chance to show what he could do regulary. I'd have accepted him back at Paradise no problem. Good luck to him.

He had his time with us and we got great service but, I never believe in bringing any player back who voluntarily left us (either for money, bigger league or both)
They are never going to be the same and we will always reflect back to when they gave us their best. Returning is a bit like admitting, I made a mistake leaving.
Same with aging stars looking for a final pay packet and how it was always an ambition to play for us. Yeh, right. If that was the case why wait until their twilight years? Why not fulfill that ambition while they are in peak condition?
