Because he is doing his son a favour in getting him up to speed for a new club. No 1 can grudge the manager doing this because he is the boss and what he said is gospel to us.

Brendan said in the interview after the game that we had a few injuries in midfield and he played him as he didn't want anyone playing to long and that he was giving his boy a chance to keep up his fitness levels as his pre-season didn't start for another 3 weeks.
