I know what your saying gordo, and I love seeing young players break through! But for me we need a couple of bits of real quality in there! A centre half is a must for me if we have any aspirations of doing anything in the CL! A quality attacking midfielder to IMO! Yeh got to admit, regardless who wasn't fit that playing young Rodgers was a strange one! I thought he was maybe just going to train and get some fitness but never thought he would get A game. suppose it's only a friendly but so not a big deal.

Smacks of nothing more than nepotism. For those who can't criticise BR that's the reality. Low key friendly or not, there are young guys coming through the ranks who must be disillusioned right now.
Who's paying the costs of the "intelligent" and "technically gifted" player that is Anton (surprisingly without a club! ) on this trip!
Poor decision by manager on this one. I doubt the top teams, in which we regard ourselves globally, would do same. Might be wrong n I see Jose, Jurgen, Pep n overseas managers do same.

Jesus Christ he let his son play a part in a meaningless friendly, anyone one of us would do the same for our kids. As for playing youngsters I'm all for it but he's only 1 player it's not like he has blocked any youths progression.
