As far as our CL draw goes I don't know why Linfield don't ask to play the home game at the crumble dome win, win as far as I can see Servco get to listen to the CL music and will be a lot safer for all and Linfield will get the money they look for and get to play at the crumble dome.

I get your point wyllie lol but yes I think for all concerned it would be can't see them asking or it happening but I do think it would be safer.

{Ed007's Note - If Linfield can't guarantee Celtic's officials and fans safety they should withdraw or be kicked out of the competition. Here's the Regs that cover it:

7.01 The clubs are responsible for the behaviour of their players, officials, members,
supporters and any person carrying out a function at a match on their behalf.

7.02 The home club (or the host association) is responsible for order and security
before, during and after the match. The home club (or the host association) may
be called to account for incidents of any kind and may be disciplined.

21.01 All matches are played according to the UEFA Match Calendar.
These dates are final and binding on all concerned, subject to the provisions
of Paragraph 22.01 to Paragraph 22.04. The following principles apply to this
competition:

a. UEFA Champions League matches are played on Tuesdays and Wednesdays,
with the exception of the final, which is played on a Saturday.

22.01 The venues, dates and kick-off times for matches in the three qualifying rounds are fixed by each home club and must be confirmed and communicated to the UEFA administration in writing by theirassociations by the deadline set by the UEFA administration. The UEFA administration may alter or confirm dates and kick-off times according to the principles set by the Club Competitions Committee.

22.02 The UEFA administration decides on match dates and fixture reversals on a case by case basis, according to the principles set by the Club Competitions
Committee. The UEFA administration reserves the right to impose a match date in
the event of clashes between matches in this competition and other UEFA club
competition matches.}

There can be a lot of genuine reasons why a fixture might have to be moved, but moving a match so a lot of bigots in bowler hats and sashes can march around intimidating people shouldn't be one of them.
Linfield should be ordered to play the match on the original date, if they can't, then as ED says they should forfeit the match.

{Ed007's Note - Spot on, Gerry.}

Well that's them FD lol.

{Ed007's Note - It's only a week ago that a 63-year-old Orange scumbag who had been previously convicted of gun offences was found guilty of driving his car into a group of people including a then 16-year-old girl - she was knocked down and then driven over shattering her pelvis and fracturing her ankle and collarbone - and 2 police officers during the July 12th "celebrations" two years ago. An act that should have been treated as a terrorist attack going by what's happened around the world.
Are Celtic and their supporters really expected to put their lives at risk by going over there? UEFA need to step in to this as soon as the tie is finalised if Linfield go through.}

This man was released on bail prior to sentencing . No doubt to give him his big day out in July.

{Ed007's Note - I noticed that, Chris, that's a shocking decision considering what the judge said at the end about his sentencing and that the case was so harrowing she excused the jury from further jury service for life. Let's hope he's banged up for a long time very soon, the world will be a far better place with scumbags like that locked up.}

There was a photo in the local press where he was seen marching with one of the negotiators currently at Downing St .

Hit the nail on the head Gerry. Play on the 12th or go feckn paddle in the Boyne preferably without water wings! ☘️.

The venues, dates and times are fixed by the home clubs, so does that not mean it's up to Linfield when and where they play their home leg?

True but UEFA had designated 11th and 12th for the first leg .
However the 1690 men said NO .
I would have thought game should have been played in the Aviva on either of original dates.
