So its looking likely to happen Ed? Would be a superb deal.

{Ed007's Note - I've said all along that I expected Roberts to be playing for us next season and I still do.}

That would be fantastic. I hope we don't quibble over the price too much, as we have done before and lost out on someone, especially with the potential windfall from VVD.

{Ed007's Note - If I was to take a guess I don't think it's the fee and more likely to be add ons or sell on clauses or even a buy back option.

That's great news, Roberts must be keen to come if the talks are at an advanced stage.
He is a cracking player, and I am amazed that a lot of EPL clubs haven't shown much interest in him.
I read in the Daily Mirror that Celtic have offered £5m, whereas Man City want £10m for him, I obviously want Celtic to get the best deal possible, but when you look at the ridiculous fees clubs in England pay for players, even £10m doesn't sound too excessive for a player of Roberts ability.

Paddy Rodgers is a better fit at Celtic than most EPL teams . Most clubs outside top 6 would be reluctant to sign a rather small ball dribbler, they would over look his shooting and assisting ability and feel that he is a bit of a luxury player .
Top 5/ 6 might think he hasn't the blistering pace to set himself aside from other good wing typec players .
Unlike any other team our Manager and his coaches, his team mates and our supporters know better than any other club what he can do and what B R wants to improve on . He is happy here and he has Kieran Tierney.
We have more to offer him he has more to offer us.
