Are we actually signing Hayes? Seems to be gathering some momentum. If we're not signing Roberts then I'd have Hayes on that right side over Forrest but I have to say I was hoping for better. He'll run amok for us domestically, but Europe? I have my doubts, and was expecting much more pedigree, just hope he proves me wrong.

Yes - very underwhelming.

Not impressed if true, this is the level of player Rangers are signing. Looks like we are still well and truely working out of the biscuit tin!

I'm not interested one bit in signing half decent domestic players. If there not European quality then we shouldn't be interested. We already dominate domestically so it's time to have a bash at improving in Europe now and Hayes won't do that. HH.

Paddy to Hayes. CL player? LC more like.

It's looking more and more likely that Hayes is coming to the club so like any other new signing should be welcomed. I not a fan of him but he does show good pace and can find the goal from distance, two qualities that Celtic benefit from. A good thing as far as Celtic are concerned is Hayes will be over the moon to get a move to us and will be keen to impress. He will also be prepared to fight for a place in the team and wait his turn without spitting the dummy.
As long as we are not shelling out loads of cash for him it could work out OK for all.

Still not convinced its true tbh, but if we get him for say 500k and GMS, and he performs as well as he did for aberdeen could be a decent squad player, in reality we need 2 wingers, cover for sinclair and replacement for paddy, think hayes would be cover for sinclair, not the champs league quality were looking for because sinclair has the LW spot.

Altough no where near the level of paddy i think brendan sees this as a bit of cover. we're losing efe, cifti, allan, gms, probably oconnell, and a few more so he'll provide cover in the wide areas. and still think if paddy doesn't sign we'll try and get another wide player with a bit of class in brendan we trust.

Wouldn't be my choice but I'll trust Brendan to do what he thinks rite, and I'll support the lad if does come in! But like Andy said, it's very underwhelming! Hope it's not a sign of what's to come, because this level of player won't get us anywhere in Europe!

He'll be a replacement for GMS, not Roberts. I'm sure we'll still be in the market for another winger.

It'll be to provide cover domestically he's fine banged a few crackers past us this season.

I really hope it is just for domestic cover. I'll judge the window properly when it's shut of course. Just wasn't the first name I was hoping for.

and why not sign the boy?
as far as i see rodgers coaching team improved every single player this season so why can they not get a bit extra out off hayes? if its age thing that's just crap . the boy has ability id go as far to say he's the only player apart from mcginn that caused us any trouble in games against them this season, so if the monies right then give the boy a chance i say.
