Guys a wee head's up, the ET has a nice magazine pull out of the Lisbon Lions in today's paper.
I have bought some to return the compliment to the suit and my other ex bear pals, on what a REAL, tribute looks like.

I wonder if this current team will get the credit it deserves if it manages to complete the season unbeaten.
I get sick and tired of hearing the line (especially from England) that it's a poor league, and that there is no competition, in my opinion it's a tremendous achievement no matter what league you are in.
I've nothing against Tottenham, but they have won nothing, flopped badly in Europe, and generally came up short against the bigger teams, yet they are lauded as if they are one of the greatest teams in history.
I've heard that if Celtic do manage to achieve the feat that it will be the first time it's been done since 1899, I think the team deserve a bit more credit than the lukewarm reaction we are getting on both sides of the border.

In my honest opinion I would rather the currants, sheep and tarts had better squads this season past it's been too easy with no competition. I'll put them in same boat as MONs team when we overcome a season filled with challenges and competitiveness, after all we weren't all that in the CL apart from our ties against city. HH.

Gerryc : bang on the money mate, south of the boarder. ( down Mexico way ) it's a song : they give our league very little respect and even less air time, let's not forget it's all about the, brilliant magical, mesmerising EPL . The best part of 10-12 teams are not even near our standard and the bottom team gets . £45m per year for the next 3 years for getting pumped out.

I don't think that it matters how strong the opposition is, to go through a whole season unbeaten domestically is some achievement.
There is no point comparing different sides, MON's team never reached the last 16 of the Champions league whereas Gordon Strachan's and Neil Lennon's teams did, and they never spent the type of money that MON had to spend.
I'm in no way criticising MON, he was a brilliant manager for us, I'm just saying that you could pick faults with any team.
This current team is a good team, we as supporters should enjoy it, I personally will never tire of seeing my team winning well and entertaining us.
