Interesting gossip from ED re;Moussa. I agree if true, and the source seems decent, BR will have to ok anything going forward. I posted the other day about Moussa maybe leaving but he assurance of game time may be a game changer. One thing is for sure, this is a confident young man with good people around him. So the deal will have to suit him.

With regards to us, how much? I posited that i did not think, at this moment he is a £25-30 player, but he will be. I would accept £20 M with add ons of course. That is a load of cash for BR to play with.

I'd want at least £40 million - assuming he goes to an EPL club, and looking at the amount of money they spend on absolute dross, e. g., Stones @ circa £50 million, I think we would be mad to accept anything less. Remember also that he's not nearing the end of his contract, so that gives us a lot more bargaining power.

Andy Moussa is never going to sell from Celtic for £40 mill. Chelsea can get a ready made striker for £50mill who has operated at the highest level for 3 or 4 years. I agree with greenjhedi, £20 to £25mill tops. To get top dollar players need to come from top leagues. Moussa is still a gamble for the top top teams.

Andy/ / i get your point but Stones and the rest play in the 'best league EVER'. Twenty plus add ons will do me mate.

I also get both your points, but I'm so frustrated at the fact we never realise the full value of players that we sell - for example, no on will convince me tha van Dykk has improved fourfold since he has been in England, but the transfer fees baing bandied about imply he has. I mean, win a throw-in the epl and suddenly you are a precocious talent worth multi millions of pounds. They are patronising beyond belief and I just think that as we are in a strong position regarding Dembele being only one year into his contract, and the fact that he genuinely seems happy here, we should be saying along the lines of "we listened but they fell short of our valuation". As has been said time and again, we don't have to sell, so let's not let them force out hand unless they pay too whack.
Also, I don't know how true it was, but allegedly, Celtic knocked back £34 million from Chelsea in January. If that was the case when the league was all but sewn up, why would sell for less with CL qualifiers now on the horizon?
Finally, off point, but Adrian Durham is a total ringpiece. Just had to get that off my chest!
