If Gordon wants to leave then leave! But Celtic must have GK in as the keepers left after Gordon are not Celtic class. Why not swap Asmir Begovic with Craig Gordon? If Begovic wants first team football and Gordon wants Chelsea move then let's swap! If that's not possible due to wages etc I personally would sign Scott Bain from Dundee. Living in Dundee and having Dundee supporting mates he gets rave reviews here. He is the best keeper Dundee have had since Jullien Speroni and he was a top GK. It's a hard position to be in 48 hours away from the Transfer Deadline.

It's not as if they want rid of Begovic, they're willing to sell because the player wants frst team football and Bournemouth are willing to shell out about £10M. If he really wants to go I'd like to see him and the club come to an agreement where he'll stay until the end of the season and leave for free in the summer instead of us taking the year's option. Chelsea probably wouldn't want to wait about for that though.

It's great business for celtic to take 4million our season is all but over already league in bag job done, qualified for ECL and made plenty job done, now to get ready for ECL qualifiers again? The cup we have home tie in last 16 and if we progress and get decent home tie in last 8 means we don't need to leave Glasgow to win cup, we have to trust our other goalkeepers or why are they there?

Ed-spot on-their is absolutely no reason we need to act like a charity shop for the feckn EPL. The time to draw the line is now and set a benchmark for Dembelle etc. when the time comes. Give them feck all for feck all.

{Ed007's Note - As you know I'm no great lover of Gordon and if it was a mid-table EPL team bidding £3 million in July I'd snap their hand off, but this is mega-bucks Chelsea trying to buy an important part of our team as things stand with 2 days to find a replacement. I want this Treble ssssoooo badly and out of all the 'keepers we have Gordon is our best bet at attaining it.

Definitely agree Ed, Chelsea are loaded. Romans probably got £4 million sitting next to his bed as loose change. If they're desperate to get Gordon pay at least 6/ 7 million or jog on

{Ed007's Note - It was just someone mentioned him on here as a possible replacement for Gordon, JT and it could make perfect sense imo although I'm not sure what level he's currently at regarding shaprness but at only 28 I'm positive he could get back up to speed in no time working under Rodgers' regime.}

Would seem like the perfect solution whoever suggested it. We take a 6 month loan to buy, bank the money for Gordon (they still have to add a few million on yet though) and sharpness aside, we have ourselves a better 'keeper.

I'm surprised Chelsea haven't. I read Rafa saying somebody has enquired but it was the wrong club. That could be Chelsea (not guaranteeing games) .
