Here's a question probably best suited to Ed. If we do any business while the team are away, will all the medicals and negotiations be done here in Glasgow or would the player need to go to Dubai first to meet the manager etc? If it's the latter then it should be fairly easy for the club to do their business quite discreetly without too much fuss and media circus.

{Ed007's Note - Without going into technicalities - deals can be finalised by fax if needed - but I'd guess medicals etc would be completed in the UK before the player 'jets out' to meet his new team mates.
When you pay private medical insurance you can get the best doctors money can buy anywhere in the UK.}

Ed I hope that was not a dig at rangers about the garner fiasco.

{Ed007's Note - What?}

Garner must have been thinking, "What the hell have I signed up to? " Sitting in A and E on Hogmanay when th a dislocated shoulder? In his strip, utter humiliation.

I suppose it would be a waste of time and money to fly somebody out who then fails a medical or doesn't agree terms. Any idea what BR is after? I read somewhere that he's named 2 EPL players and that he'll be getting both but I can't remember where I saw it, no names either of course.

{Ed007's Note - That was probably McCarthy and Mannone, the Sunderland 'keeper.}

That'll be on the back burner now with Sunderland's injury problems. BR has made all the right noises with regards to bringing in quality over quantity and 1 or 2 would be plenty with perhaps 2 or 3 in the summer whilst finding new clubs for guys like Ambrose, Boyata, Allen, Ciftci and Bailly.

{Ed007's Note - That's the way I'm thinking too, Kev. There will be more exits than arrivals as Rodgers tries to trim the squad size which will also free up wages.}

Was a deal for Mannone in place/ on the cards before Pickfords injury Ed? Gordon has improved but still very poor decision maker - he tried to do a Neuer again at Ibrox!

{Ed007's Note - There wasn't a deal in place but there were talks with Sunderland as Rodgers was open to letting De Vries leave and wanted Mannone to replace him and challenge Gordon.}
