Well that was painful.

Yet again we show how poor our CM is in a European tie. Armstrong was a disaster, McGregor and Henderson for the time they were on were just as shite. Big Tam really can't cut it at this level. Broony to be fair did not to bad. If any one of them could finish we could have won that tonight imo. We need international level of class in there if we are ever going to do anything.

Moving on, Sinclair showing good movement and ability as we have come to expect and our "40m" striker still looking the part at this level so well done to them. Forrest is nothing but a lazy wee bastard who can't perform at this level going forward either. Hope Rogers is going to finally accept using a loanee in PR is the far better option.

Defending, we done no bad imo. Rogic and Forrest to blame for goal not picking up the runners. Wee izzy did ok imo and although it pains me to say. Gordon minimized his mistakes to a few lousy passes but did make some big saves today.

Doesnt help matters Man Schitty beating Barcelona either. A well hoo hum. Another pint it is then.

Same team that outplayed us couple weeks ago and we held our own against them in there own backyard and you found that painful?

Must have watched a totally different game, either that or we have totally different expectations.

{Ed007's Note - And with a makeshift defence....

Shug hiw many pints u had broony was outstanding and why does it pain u to say a celtic player did well Gamboa and izzy played well sinclair, dembele, paddy when he came on all played well Armstrong ran his heart out careless in possession but no lack of effort, very unlucky not to get something imo.

So ROgic can't cut it at this level?

Have you forgotten how good he was against Man City?

If you actually studied the play in the last 2 games you would have noticed that BMG had obviously identified him as our main play maker and snuffed him out.

Guys. Wake up and smell rhe rosies. And mally, obviously not as many as you seeing how you can't read. I said broony did ok, it was the rest that was poor. I also complimented our defence and keeper.

Games are won and lost in CM. If anyone thinks ours has what it takes you need to put down the crack pipe and go get some fresh air.

Man City, yeah we played great against them when their defence was leaking like a used tea bag. They have been shite since that game (not seen highlights from tonight before any attack dogs want to pounce) and let's no celebrate that performance until we see how we fair down there.

Just ti clarify seeing how i was asked after a clear statement before. Rogic ain't giod enough at this level neither are the rest of the CM except our captn.

Sorry missed one.

It pains me to compliment Gordon because i'm normally peering thru the spaces inbmy fingers when he's under pressure, don't get me wrong i'm exstatic the boybhas played a good one the night and i'm pleased to be put in my place for once. But his jersey is 2nd on my list behind a CM. So, off on a tangent there, to answer the question. It pains me cause i hope these rare decent performances don't make people think we don't need a new keeper, cause we do.

Rab the boys had 1 to many pints. No got a clue what he's talking about. Great performance from the lads especially when missing 3 of our starting Defenders. Can't complain. Well only move forward give it a few year and we'll be back.

Ken. Do you struggle with reading or something. Why point out we are missing our defence. The defending was spot on tonight. They and the keeper were at no fault in the goal, runner not being picked up in midfield was the problem.

So basically what your saying is I am wrong and that this Celtic CM collection is good enough to compete against the giants of Europe. Look inba mirror and say it out loud to yourself, then try and not smirk at what your hearing.

Lol. And don't get me started on the last 5-10mins. We knew at the start a draw was not enough yet we start trying to play possession with back and sideways passes. Man o man lol. Right onto the halves I think.

Shug, sober up, are you sure you were watching the same game as we were? Hail Hail.

Nobody is saying the current celtic team is good enough at this level but what the majority are saying is the draw was a decent result with a much better performance.

You seem to contradict yourself, if the team is as bad as you say it is then you must be delighted with the result. Instead your ripping into them for what seems to be just for the sake of it.

I can accept that statement. I agree it was a much much better performance and result than our previous encounter. But to say i am pleased with the performance i can not. MF was all over the place. Loose balls, bad passing, heavy touches, poor first touches, not tracking runners, greedy pointless shooting. That's what i was watching. We were chasing shadows again at times.
Listen guys, the team has my support. Bredan has my confinence. They played thier best for the most part. What I'm saying is that that's just not good enough. Armstrong. McGregor and Henderson won't be the quality we need. Not next season or the next. Rogic even now doesn't have the legs. if we really want people to fear parkhead again we need better. Its a simple and obvious thing to see. Maybe u came across a bit heavy handed but it doesn't change the facts. Read other posts, I'm not the only one.

@shugmckie - sadly for you, you are destined to be forever disappointed. The reason I say that is I know how much it would cost to have a midfield who can compete with the big guns of the CL.

Anyway, I am proud of my team last night, we got the ball down and tried to play attacking football. Yes there were times we could have made better decisions with the ball or showed a bit more composure when making the final pass but I won't dwell on that.

What we need to remember is this is the first year of cl for Gordon, gamboa, Armstrong, rogic, Sinclair, McGregor, Roberts, Henderson and dembele and most of them are still young and have a lot to learn at this level.

Wow, some of you need a reality check. The progress we have made domestically and in Europe is very good. Br has had one window to improve the side which he has, the football is a lot more attractive than last season and he's already talking about moving forward and improving the side in the coming seasons. Borussia spent 26 million on two players alone in the summer. Yes in Europe, we aren't as consistent as we would like to be but the two points we have so far would be two points we wouldn't have got in the last few seasons . ( not that we would have been in the champions league) . We have easily the toughest group we could have got as well. I appreciate everyone saying we are short in midfield for this type of challenge, but br said the only disappointment from the last window was we never got the creative midfielder he wanted, so he knows what we need as well. To bring these top quality midfielders to Scotland is not easy because if they are that good they have other options than us probably with higher wages and a more competitive league. Rome wasn't built in a day and I'd much rather be where we are now, than where we have been in the last few seasons.

Shug they played good possession football in the last 10 mins and got the big chance with mcgregor or would you prefer them to lump it up the park and give possession away as what normally happens well done celtic and wwll done BR.
