The Celtic FC crest was projected onto a building last night in Ramallah, occupied Palestine.

i saw that maself Ed, I really hope the club backs the supporters stance on this.

{Ed007's Note - It's very humbling when you think of the conditions they're living in and to risk doing something like that.}

WOW ED do we have any idea as to how / who put that up, we would not like UEFA to see it. They might want to ask a few questions.

#ProudtobeaCelt.

{Ed007's Note - I guess it was Palestinian people to show their gratitude for the support.}

Great to see. I was reading some comments from Hamas leaders earlier regarding our fans. In no way innocent people, but fighting against oppression none the less, and what option do they have. I was willing to let this whole thing at CP go the way that was written, without a personal involvement, but since the 'punishment' from UEFA, my anarchist side has cone right out, and I would love the club to put UEFA on a pedestal now and explain where (or who) their directive is from. This situation is something I have followed for several years. The major questions are much more deep than why Palestinian flags were at Parkhead. Whilst my head says these displays will be in vain, what Palestine needs is a raising of awareness, and the bhoys have done that. HH.

I was wondering how I could make a personnal involvement and thought of covering my naked body painted as a Palestinian flag but then I thought that would frighten everyone out of the stadium . UEFA will punish Celtic, not because the club or fans did wrong, but because UEFA can punish Celtic and based on everything that has happened in the past Celtic will accept the punishment.

Seen this earlier too, makes me feel proud as punch. What have the people saying what difference will it make to the people of Palestine saying now? For me any fine we get will be worth it after seeing that. It must've been uplifting for them to see that display on Wednesday.

Good to see that Celtic stands for more than football and actually takes a stance on issues regarding issues that are affecting people who are suffering at this very moment. And in front of the beady eye of the national press who choose to pick out the actions of a few people who decide to show empathy to people in a horrible situation Hail Hail.

I have to admit that I was one of the posters who was against flying the flags but now that I have done some research combined with the biased arrogance of uefa, I hope that our board advises our lawyers to take them to task over any sanctions. We will probably lose the case but we should at least let them know that we won't take their sh1t without a fight.

I am glad to see that the support for Palestine has raised some awareness and provided support for the people involved in the conflict within their own land. I wasn't for a mass display at the game on Wednesday but felt what was done was right by showing support then focusing on the game with the Rodgers display. Just goes to show what a great club we support. Hail hail and here's to a historic season in which we deliver the results and stand up for all we believe in despite the media trying to spin it as offensive or inflammatory.

Well done arrowh good to see some people on here doing a bit of research and realising that wots happening in the middle east is more important than a few grand fine for a business that'll have no trouble paying it.

Celtic are an easy touch and have been targeted by Uefa as a steady source of income season after season.
I am not saying we are totally blameless, every single time, but the club never defends the support or quotes similar comparable incidents by other big clubs, so as to highlight a precedent.
Not so long ago our fans were receiving plaudits and awards from Uefa and Fifa and many of our European opponents welcome Celtic fans with open arms and form close, longstanding liaisons with Celtic.
The fact that our own association very rarely backs or indeed acknowledges us could also be a factor in our victimization.

{Ed007's Note - It's not much of an income to them, the fines are all paltry amounts, I think the most was 42,000 Euros but most are around the 13-16k mark. All UEFA have ever done is give us a rap on the knuckles for being a bit naughty and I'd hazard a guess they were hoping for the same here. Talk of stands being closed is ridiculous scare-mongering and stirring by the press and the warped sections of the TRIFC support who would basically eat raw dog shit if Celtic fans said that it was disgusting to do it. They sit and see what Celtic fans are doing and just do the opposite without even thinking about it.}

Aye Ed, porn sites. My mate was having a wee cuddle with his missus the other night and he just suddenly stopped and did not move or speak. She asked if something was wrong and he said, " keep quiet, I saw this on pornhub, it's called buffering! "

@cprs1 - looks like something you would get out of a care package on COD! Can't be legal to deploy them in International law? There's protecting your citizens and then there's taking the piss.
