UEFA haven't wasted any time in the wake of the Palestinian flag waving at Celtic Park and we are set for further sanctions on Sept 22.

Those pesky Judeo Masons and their secret world order. Nothing the unseen Fenian Hand shouldn't be able to cope with (rofl) . Too far? Joking aside, F*ck UEFA. Wether or not it should have been done is trivial now. They're punishing people for expressing a concern I share. Bring it on.

Then you'll happily help to foot the bill for the fine then JimTim.

{Ed007's Note - Set it up then, Besty. I know loads of people who will donate plenty to cover it. There is also talk of the support collecting the amount of the fine and giving it to a Palestinian charity but yo'd probably be against that.
Has the Club given you permission to do this collection?}

I hope the club push back on any fine.
If there is specific guidelines in place and they have been applied equally to all member clubs, then that's the rules.
However if no clear guidance exist or uefa have not applied said guidance in a fair, just manner then I would ask the club hierarchy to heed the advice of a certain banner that was displayed offering advice relating to everyone's favourite European footballing ruling body.
This is the organisation who will do their best to squeeze every drop of life from a once great competition for the sake of making richer men wealthier.
Equality for the members with most money - they should hang their heads in shame.
Regardless of anyone's politics people should remember free speech.
A football ground may not be everyone's cup of tea to stage an opinion, but a least it raises awareness.
Look at the olympics where I saw a lady hold a banner up for hours to raise awareness for women's rights.
I don't see the Daily Rec£rd get on their high horse about her.

As i said prior to the game i just go to games for the football and that's enough for me. Having spent years in the Middle East and have many a friend over there i can certainly understand why the Green Brigade or whoever else do what they do regarding the flags etc. Why don't these guys organise something for Glasgow Green or George Square on the morning of a game. I would gladly attend and i'm sure there is many more who would. The exposure would be unreal. As I said for me the Stadium is about football and always will be but that's just my opinion what others do is up to them.

What can UEFA do if say 5,000-10,000 Celtic fans stood in Glasgow Green as a show of support for Palestine.

Just a thought. Now is not a time for the Celtic support to be devided. HH.

Beat me to that.

You know what Besty, I told myself I wasn't putting a penny in the club this season. That though, I'd gladly put my hand in my pocket. I know people who aren't Celtic fans, aren't even football fans that would pay to cover such a fine.

Giving to a charity is all very well and noble Ed. Nowt wrong with that. In case you hadn't worked it out I'm not against anyone sympathising with a cause but it pisses me off that it has to be done at Paradise which then lands us in trouble unnecessarily, particularly as there have been numerous previous incidents of ridiculous and uncalled for behaviour by an element of our support. That's my point, I've made it before, so keep your wise cracks to yourself if you don't mind.

{Ed007's Note - Nobody cares what you think or what pisses you off - nobody. You're nothing but an irrelevant insignificant troll who should be banned from Celtic Park for lacking the intelligence to be allowed out in public themselves.
Dry your eyes, man up and change your wet panties, you're embarrassing not only the Celtic support but the site. One of which I can easily deal with btw.
So please can you keep your opinions to yourself if you don't mind.}

My mate truly believes the queen is.

{Ed007's Note - You'll find all of the main people involved in the establishment's paedophile ring are rumoured to be reptilian shape-shifters, Stan.}

Ed i'm surprised that tv series V doesn't use Simply The Best as it's theme tune.

That's all fair play stan. HH.

My stance ultimately though is - is CP the best place for it? Probably not. Is it the wrong place for it? Absolutely not. Only when somebody from UEFA comes out and says "any more and nobody goes to the games" then I'd ask people not to. Because that's when you're intruding the lives of by-standers, and for me that's not cool. Even then though there'd be a part of me thinking go on bhoys it's your right, which is bigger than football as a whole. Does the club care though? My guess is no. Did that display get set up, under such a magnifying glass, without any club official noticing? I think not. That's why Celtic is my club and I'm proud to be a tim.

Does eufa have a list of banned flags of certain nations and if the Palestine flag is one of them does that make eufa prejudiced and taking sides, there was an Israel flag visible so is that OK what about people who find the union jack offensive or the Irish flag where does it end they've opened a can of worms here, I think we have a very good case.

14.) 19 Aug 2016
19 Aug 2016 19:40:07
We would have a great case, if lawell had the balls this time. But he doesn't n he'll accept any punishment dished out by them because he wants a job with them.

15.) 19 Aug 2016
19 Aug 2016 21:45:39
We have no case we broke the rules.
They have us lock stock and barrel if they want us.
The wording of the rule is very specific.

{Ed007's Note - And there's plenty of evidence of not only other clubs but UEFA themselves breaking their own rule. If this had happened in the Nou Camp where the Palestinian flag is also always on show at different parts of the stadium UEFA wouldn't have dared try to punish Barca. I can show you pictures of English teams, West Ham, Arsenal, Man Utd and even Chelsea with banners saying they're against apartheid - where's UEFA then with their no politics in football double standards?
This could easily become a political situation rather than footballing one, there are plenty of powerful and influential people, charities etc willing to back Celtic in this matter IF the Club finds it's balls, Celtic have allowed the support to be bullied by UEFA far too many times but I suppose it's one of the consequences of not being one of their 'big league' team. It is UEFA themselves that have made this political - again breaking their own rules. Why are UEFA getting involved in Middle Eastern politics? Have you ever asked yourself why UEFA have banned the Palestinian flag yet FIFA recognise Palestine, or why a team that isn't based in Europe is even allowed to play in a UEFA tournament?
Remember that the police have said there was NO illegal activity taking place at Celtic Park, it passed the draconian OBFA in Scotland where you can be arrested for singing a song or looking at a copper the wrong way. Paul McBride would have destroyed this farcial process.

Article 11 of the European Convention on Human Rights protects the right to freedom of assembly and association, including the right to form trade unions, subject to certain restrictions that are "in accordance with law" and "necessary in a democratic society".

Article 11 – Freedom of assembly and association
1. Everyone has the right to freedom of peaceful assembly and to freedom of association with others, including the right to form and to join trade unions for the protection of his interests.

2. No restrictions shall be placed on the exercise of these rights other than such as are prescribed by law and are necessary in a democratic society in the interests of national security or public safety, for the prevention of disorder or crime, for the protection of health or morals or for the protection of the rights and freedoms of others. This article shall not prevent the imposition of lawful restrictions on the exercise of these rights by members of the armed forces, of the police or of the administration of the State.

In my opinion what will happen here is Celtic will get a rap on the knuckles and maybe a fine of about 20,000 Euros because UEFA will want this dealt with and brushed under the carpet as quickly as possible. But hopefully the peerless Celtic supporters have inspired other fans throughout the world to make a stand.}

A good read that Ed, Thanks.

At this rate it won''t be long before i'm buying a flag.

F*** UEFA.

{Ed007's Note - UEFA are rancid and normal punters on the street have no idea the level of corruption that actually goes on. Here's some more examples of their double standards.

11 days ago on Twitter the UEFA Foundation (@UEFA_Foundation) tweeted this:

#football united against the bombing of civilians #UEFASuperCup #Norway #HI_UK

With this link, which seems to be missing content on the page:

www.uefafoundation.org/news/football-united-bombing-civilians/

BTW the UEFA Foundations' Twitter cover has this on it:

'The UEFA Foundation for children aims to help children and safeguard their rights with sport, and football in particular.'

Here's a page from the UEFA Foundation site, the section is headed 'Refugees':

www.uefafoundation.org/actions/refugees/

On that page it states:

'Improving the living conditions of refugee children, as well as their dignity and respect for their fundamental rights.'

And finally who said thank (swear), here's a video from that same UEFA site about the Za'tari refugee camp in Jordan:
