Lucas leiva? not a bad signing if it's true. SG ok aswell. Jefferson montego or ki sung young possibly? Any thoughts who this signing could be?

They've got to be blockbuster if it's a CM. With Brown playing as he is, the players Bitton and Johansen can be. There's the development of Ajer, McGregor and Armstrong to think of too. Not sure Stevie G would be worth what I'd expect him to command and I've never been sure what to make of Lucas, but I read Klopp wants him to stay and even halted a move to Galatasaray? Seeing as people's mates have heard Xavi, Schweinsteiger and Gerrard. My mate reckons we're in for McCarthy.

I would have hoped for a better Keeper than De Vries but can't see it being a keeper.

My guess/ hope would be a striker. Or possibly a right back. But a striker would be the blockbuster and round of a very good window for me going of past summers.

{Ed007's Note - I forgot all about Ajer, JT. If that lad doesn't get first team football he'll stagnate, I would even give him 6 months to settle with us playing here and there then send him out on loan in January, he's far too good to be playing reserve football.}

Ajer strolled through that game against Cowdenbeath up against seasoned journeymen there no point buying a CDM you can tell this boy has played first team football easily

Speaking to weeks ago JT a heard it we wanted a GK and an attacking full back like a Flannigan type and then within 48hrs DDV popped up

I cannot see it being a midfielder or even a striker because it is getting later in a game that we are pairing LG and MD

Am confident Ajer would fit right in with Toure behind him and Brown in front a would go as far to say if we are going to play 4 = 1 - 4 - 1 Ajer in no time will be better equipped/ suited than Biton as I have said for a while now Biton would benefit from gaining a half a stone (y)

Well that's it Ed. He joined us as one of the better young prospects in Europe. Not sure I'd risk his development for the sake of Stevie G for a couple seasons, not considering the CMs we already have and what SG would cost. I never expected Ajer to be nailed on starting XI. But with him being versatile, I was half hoping to see him getting games after European and cup ties, seeing games out etc. I'd do the same re loaning him out in Jan.

Because of our dearth of centre halves a few weeks ago I think B R was forced to play Ajer as centre half . We are now getting our centre backs fit and ready and now Ajer is back as defensive midfielder but he may have lost a few weeks playing there and won't make the first team as defensive midfielder for a few weeks yet.
