Morning All, Ed is there a cut off date for a wildcard for this qualifier?

U fancy us to add anybody ED? Or do u think we'll wait and see if we get through and add maybe a real quality creative player? Would like to think if we make CL then BR would get some decent money!

{Ed007's Note - Yes I do think there'll be at least one new signing in by then. Don't you think the overall money spent on the Sinclair deal is decent? You're talking circa £6 million and that's not including his wages. Toure on a free transfer is probably costing us more than signing Shane Duffy, including the transfer fee, and we simply got a bargain with Dembele.
Celtic have spent and tied up well over £10 million so far this window and we're still looking to add players.}

Fair point ED. just hoping for a bit of quality in the midfield, still think it's to slow in there! What positions u think the manager wants to strengthen ED? I know he says another 2! U hoping it's a new GK? Lol.

What is paid by the buying club would typically include:

(a) Transfer fee - the big number.
(b) Any levy applied by the local FA – 5% for the EPL.
(c) Tax due on the transfer fee – typically this will be VAT (at varying rates across Europe) some or all of which should be reclaimable.
(d) Agent fees – this may be to one or more agents.
(e) Tax due on the agent fees – typically this is VAT at the local rate where the agent bills from – it is not reclaimable.
(f) Intermediary fees – this may be to one or more sponging leeches(what do you mean you have a super agent?) .
(g) Tax due on the Intermediary fees – typically this is VAT at the local rate where the Intermediary bills from – it is not reclaimable.
(h) Signing on fee to the player (possibly including non-reclaimable VAT if the player is VAT registered).
(i) Legal fees.
(j) VAT on legal fees which is reclaimable.

Ah, well I knew there were additional fees but not an extra £2.5m - I'm basing that on the reported £3.5m transfer fee. Well, at least the board have backed their man.

{Ed007's Note - We paid £4 million for him. The SFA levy and VAT on the fee adds another £1 million straight onto it, and that's before you start considering Sinclair's signing on fee, legal fees, agent fees etc etc.}

Cheers ED! Aye a wouldn't mind seeing another striker in to mate! Things are shaping up nicely but. getting rid of some of the deadwood and bringin in players to go straight in! Think we'll be happy by the end of the window! Well I hope we are lol.

Spot on ED007 there are plenty who think it's a simple case of just getting the cheque book out and who don't give a second thought to all the work that has to go on in the background before a signing is completed, football is a complicated business these days.

If we can get rid of up on 6 players and sign another couple of the calibre that we have signed I will be more than happy .
We have at least 38 competitive games to play before the end of the year . We need some where near 20 players who are eager and kean and ready at all time to play for us.
