Had an interesting chat with my pal at Celtic Pools, he basically said Lawwell is gambling on Simonovic and Boyata gaining fitness soon, Pedro's thinking is why spend money on a CB when we already have two in the wings.
if you think about it, even if we signed a player over the weekend, would Rodgers risk him on a marathon trek with players he does not know.
My pal's theory is IF we get past Astana money may then be released for a striker, not a defender.
For the game in Astana, look for either Ajer or Lustig playing CB with Janko rb, and Johansen, Brown and Biton in more defensive roles also.
