If Rodgers does become our manager at least it shows some long overdue ambition! I don't think he'd take the job if he wasn't being offered a decent transfer budget and control over player and staff recruitment. Liverpool are the English team I follow so I've watched plenty of his matches over the last few years. Some pros and cons from what I've seen are:

Pros -

Isn't scared to throw youngsters into the team (Flannagan and Sterling)
Good at developing first team players and taking them to the next level (Henderson and Sturridge)
Style of play is always good to watch, always encourages keeping the ball on the deck and usually goes all out attack
Highly adaptable at using different formations - prefers a 4-3-3 but has also used 4-4-2 diamond and 3-5-2, so he'd certainly have the plan B that Ronny was criticised for not employing

Cons-

Doesn't seem to learn from his mistakes defensively (sound familiar)
Plays players out of position too often (sound familiar) . Markovic at left wing back, Can at centre half and Ings at left wing against Man Utd to name a few!
Very few good players signed during his time at Liverpool. Did he have a say on who was signed though?

Overall I think it would be a good appointment and with his style of play we should blow teams out the water domestically at least.

{Ed001's Note - he never threw those youngsters in, he was forced to play them after injuries left him with no other option. He then went out and bought to make sure that it would not happen again.}

I am a wee bit apprehensive about BR as from what I gather, Liverpool supporters [and players] were glad to see the back of him and his ego.

The inferiority of the Scottish people regarding achievements in England knows no bounds . If u know enough about what any Manager has done and if you want to there is always a few things to praise . Unfortunately there are also reasons that questions manager's ability .
