Does anyone know what it is with the lights on people's phones around the stadium? Seems to happen around the same time every game?

My daughter seen a few lights on and asked for my phone to join in, that's all I know.

Just a display mate it's common around a lot of the European grounds.

Absolutely shocking if you ask me Ed, what about those that might be epileptic ;)

This was started a couple of seasons ago by the GB as a protest about being filmed and photographed by the police at games, it seemed to stop last season but with this new face recognition camera thing supposedly coming in I presume this is why it has started again.

There has been no reports of anyone that is elipeptic been affected. The first lighting of the lighters was before there was any talk of facial recognition . It doesn't seem to very well planned, more like as if a few lighted up and others followed as there is a scattering throughout most of the stadium, whether than a large number in a relative small area .

I thought it originated as a protest to the police filming the fans. Basically the fans started film on them back.
