Hi all:. I was listening to Talksh1tt and the guys were talking about Man City.
The perception is that Manuel Pellegrini changed his teams formation to suit the players he has and it seems to work.

The question is should RD change his formation. thus going against his fundamental believe on how his team lines up.?

He should change his backroom staff ASAP. Collins& Kennedy are Inept & a waste of space & money.Also I hope to God Ambrose,Commons,Forest,Mulgrew & even Izzy are finished at the end of Season. RD should be bringing in his own Backroom Staff & not have them 2 muppets forced on him.I hope they bring in 2 coaches that have had no affiliation with CFC whatsoever ( Guarnteed though that PL keeps the 2 due to a sympathy vote for Kennedy & Mr Fecki n Motivator is in with the bricks).

Yes he should change, not because I say so but because it clearly doesn't suit our players.
A manager should play his best team and best formation that works best, NOT a system that he believes is best no matter what.

Yes! It's not even that he has to change it forever, but surely everyone can see how predictable we have become. There comes a time when every team needs to play to an opposition's weaknesses, and so far RD has yet to show me that he can change things to do that. We play this 'system' like it was the only option we have, and it's killing us when we come up against average sides who simply do their homework.

To expand, to play the 4231 system you need a striker who can hold the ball up and bring others into play. WE don't HAVE 1.The right sided player need to be able to get past a player and deliver a ball or cut inside and create. WE don't HAVE 1.Same applies to left. Middle of 3 needs to have flair and be creative and pile in with the goals. WE don't HAVE 1.
Which part of this does RD not understand.

Ciftci can be the 'striker' that holds the ball up,for Griffiths to get the goals from his layofs,we've got the players to roll over this Ajax team,Ronnie has just got to pick the right team and tactics.
