When away Ed it was either the Express or Mail (only to papers you get)!

Was saying R Madrid are preparing to let Odegaard go out on loan and it was a straight fight between us & Southampton with us edging it over previous connection to/with RD

Fully accept might just be paper talk but would be great if it were the case

Part of me would love Odegaard to come to Celtic for a year and I think Deila would be a great mentor to get the best out of him .
However I have a lot of reservations re him playing in Scotland , far too many cloggers out to "welcome " him to the SPL and far too few referees prepared to give him any protection . I just don't think it would be fair to bring such talent to Scotland to get all his football ability kicked out of him.
Mall players like A McG and wèe J F used to be able to take players on and go past them ( neither are a patch on Odegaard ) but both only were able to go past the elbows and kickers for less than a season.
