Keeping the theme of extra revenue for the club going what about if Celtic were to screen their own fixtures throughout the season. I know some peole say it affects hone attendance but what if the game was only shown live to season ticket holders. When youbuy your season ticket you pay 50-100? extra and you get all games live. The games could aslo be available to non season ticket holders live but on a pay per view basis.
I've no idea how much this would cost the club but I know the tv deal money isn't the best at the moment plus I have a season ticket but due to a change of circumstances plus less games being Saturday at 3 I can't get to as many as I would like but still want to watch Celtic live.

Thoughts?

I know Benfica do this in Portugal. They have all the tv rights to their own games although I'm not sure if the SFA would step in and block it here. They make more money out of it than they would otherwise and with the pathetic tv deal we get I've got no doubt we would too.

At least season ticket holders in the Uk and Ireland should be able to pay to watch Celtic TV live rather than deferred viewing as is now. As Pk 85 says season ticket holders should have the option to pay £50- £100 extra for the live coverage.

I'm sure sky & bt wouldn't allow it. You can only get live coverage if your outside uk with celtic tv, plus who would pay £50-£100 extra to watch the big screen.

I think if Celtic offered their season book holders the option of paying the £50/£100 per season to watch games they missed , it might be the spur to make Sky and BT pay a more realistic fee to the SPL .
Nobody who didn't want to pay for Celtic TV would be out the money , so it could be win , win situation for all. The completely ludricous TV deal we currently are tied to is not in Celtic , nor Scottish Football interest and has to be changed ASAP.
