Just back from Milan and I can't believe, well actually I can, that the focus is one a flare. There was one flare lit in the match, god knows how they managed to get it in as everyone was searched thoroughly, but with nearly 5k fans out there I for one did not see one single bit of bother. Quite the contrary actually and everyone mingled great with the Inter fans and they actually stayed outside to applaud us away from the stadium. Yes, it flare should not have happened but surely this is a security situation for Inter as the home side. For that to make the front page just typifies the MSM in this country and wee Keevins and co will be waiting in delight to see us get beat on Sunday. Considering the effort we put in for 10 men I find it scandalous that we are playing a match of this magnitude not much more than 48 hours later. Who decided on a 12pm kick off? Taking everything into account, I think the team will do fantastic to get a draw in that game.
One final point on the Inter game, I thought James Forrests demeanour and body language was a disgrace. I've stuck up for him to the hilt but he has lots to answer for after that.

I don't think there is a conspiracy RE the fixture list. We are getting to the stage of games coming thick and fast. Liverpool played in Turkey on Thursday and they've got Man city Sunday at 1pm. I think we'll pump them on Sunday!

Well we're in trouble for it again and whether you agree with the rule regarding flares or not its going to bite us big time in the ass some day.

Fixtures were made before they knew we would be playing on Thursday night in the last 32 .

OP totally agree re Forrest, he was the only player that did not put the required effort in. losses ball and just stops or runs along side the opponent but never tackles.
The flare situation is frustrating as everyone knows they are banned but there are still a minority who think they can do what they like, it is time for the club to do something, surely you need to be a season ticket holder to get a ticket for an away tie so the club must know who they sold these tickets to. time to get tough because even if there are 40,000 fans it only takes 1 to drag our good name down.

{Ed007's Note - The Italians are that livid with the flare incident that it's been brought up in their parliament with Italian MPs wanting to introduce a trades embargo and other sanctions on the UK. The Pope will use his Sunday homily to pray for peace between the two countries before it's classed as an international incident as many people say it could be seen as Britain declaring war on Italy.
World leaders including Obama and David Cameron will meet with the UN to discuss the possibility that any use of flares can be classed as an act of terrorism after worried Italian MPs wanted to draft in the army and water cannons to control the crowd on Thursday night.
The UK goverment refused to comment on whether the search for the culprit who let the flare off will affect the search for Jihadi John but an insider did say:

'With the Celtic board containing so many members of the British establishment we're taking this matter very seriously indeed and with a General Election this year we need to make sure no damage is done to the reputation of Baron Livingston of Parkhead or any other Tory party member. The letting off of flares could push people towards voting UKIP.'
