Seems that the new regime, coaching wise, are causing a lot of angst on here at the moment. There seems to be a lot of posters who are just not prepared to give Ronny a chance. This is ludicrous as the guy is only just into his FIRST transfer window. Has it occurred to anyone that maybe he is trying to fit round pegs into square holes? One poster claims he has a stronger squad than last year, maybe, but we are playing a different system now. That surely has an effect? Facts are some players just can't cut it.

The thorny issue of transfers is another stick I see being used to beat the club, although this is more a board issue. Unless you are privvy to the inner workings of a transfer, the fee, players wages and insurance, taxes and the no doubt huge agents cut, then it is surely foolish to criticize our transfer policy? Don't forget this is the same transfer policy that brought huge profits from sales. Did anyone moan at the profits gleaned from Victor and Forster, Hooper and Ki? I never heard them.

The hard facts are crowds are down, this means match day income is also down. Next month we play sevco for the first time and Inter in the Europa. Be interesting to see the clamour for tickets for those games.Where did the extra surge for tickets come from? Now I will never moan if some people, and there are lots to be fair, are finding it tough at the moment, but it seems to me we are carrying a large amount of glory hunters. If they all started going to games our income would increase and their would be more funds for transfers.

Lastly, Sutton, and not as bad but nearly, Hartson. Shocking pieces that serve no purpose but to destabilise Ronny. If these two players think anything of Celtic, who let's not forget saved their careers, they really need to think before allowing ghost writers to put this nonsense into print. Before i'm accused of looking through green tinted specs and berating anyone who criticize us, this is wrong. We are all Celts and we are all allowed our opinion, but this is a game with a ball. One bad bounce can kill you. We have been dominating games and not killing games. Is that Ronny's fault? Of course not. How many times have we been inches from scoring and just not had a bit of luck? Just not had a good bounce? Dundee Utd, woodwork and a clearly on side goal chopped off?

This is a chance to develop the whole club into a modern football entity.A team that does not have to change tactics for Europe, something that has killed us in the past. This will not happen in a season. A draw v Ross county meant in the last ten matches we had won eight, lost one and had one draw. You really think the stick Ronny, and I use that word deliberately, received from the press was justified.Bear in mind the matches we dropped points in we dominated, surely this speaks volumes for some peoples attitude towards Ronny? Face it, the media in Scotland have one interest.Sevco.That is all.

Lets get on the one road and get right behind the team. That's what being a Celtic fan is all about.

The over-simplified view is that we should be able to dominate Scottish football - especially in a league without the deceased Rangers and relegated Edinburgh teams - even during transition and upheaval; as we have a huge advantage in finance, facilities and player resource than any other team in the country.
NL clearly underperformed in cup competitions, but coasted the SPL and supporters expect us to be comfortably top after 5 months.

The missing fans are typical of how fickle we can be as we take success for granted and always expect to win, but that has always been the way and is not peculiar to RD - ask Barnes, Macari and Mowbray, even Tommy Burns, Billy McNeill and Big Jock couldn't please everyone!

It is encouraging that we are still involved in four trophies and I really hope we go on and do the treble, but this team does not instil me with the confidence and excitement I enjoy.
As I said, I understand we are going through a major transition, but we have been missing numerous chances and conceding through basic errors all season and that's basic coaching.

I hope we do a little tweaking in this window and the enforced break for over a week has given the players a chance to get fully fit and regain their appetite and desire for trophies.

Well said GJ & JJ. The Ronny bashing needs to stop! It's plain to see the squad needs complete overhaul & it's difficult to get new players in & unwanted players out in the Jan window. Surely we need to give RD the chance to really put his own stamp on the team! At the very least he should be given the full season to prove what he is capable of! I personally believe RD should be given leeway for two seasons to implement the changes required to play the managers brand of football. You simply can't accuse the man of being a poor manager or "out of his depth". His history as a manager tells a different story! For christ sake get off the guys back & support the team!

These posts are good to read and I applaud all three . It is very difficult when faced by the over the top negativity by fans who don't want to called anti - celts, and that's find by me I will try by best not to label them such . What I like best about these three posts are that they at all times remained just positive and not going the opposite to the negative posts . Unlike myself these three didn't get carried away over the top.
I salute the three .
