Being reported Arsenal are apparently coming in at £22 million now for tierney. what part of £25 million are they not getting? Especially now if Napoli are interested, what makes arsenal think they can offer £22 million if the price is supposed to be £25 million? Surely Celtic being in control of this situation just chase arsenal once and for all, tell them the exact figure one last time and if they aren't prepared to meet that quote don't come back with anything less!

They are doing what Celtic have done for years mate wanting the best price for the player they are buying .

Well in case you missed the reports lately? Crystal palace have quoted 80million for zaha. Arsenal offered 40 million Seems they don't understand club valuations . I also read they bid 50 million for Harry McGuire after man utd had a 70 million bid turned down? Surely they can't be that bad?

It was reported when they made their first bid, that they only had a total transfer budget of £45 million, then they bid £50million for Saha,

Wouldn't accept anything less than 30m for Tierney, people can laugh at that amount for a player from our league but celtic are entitled to demand it in todays transfer market. Tierney would handle it at any top club in any of the big leagues so when the likes of wan bissaka goes for 50m after 1 season with Crystal palace then it's only fair.
We need to keep our best players and players especially like Tierney who is one of our own only come around once in a blue moon. I understand we're a business at the end of the day and it's hard to compete with wages/ ambition etc and if a player wants to move on and develop themselves then we have to respect that but bids of 15m then this apparent 22m is a joke for a player of his potential.

I agree with Greenclover 100%, we should be demanding a packet for KT.

Kt has captained his country gaining 12 caps, has won 9 trophies, has champions league experience scoring and assists in the process and he has Europa league experience also.

It doesn't matter what league he plays in really at the end of the day he is undoubtedly a talented players that lots of clubs would knocking on the door for if they actually needed a player of his position. As long as we keep giving the rich clubs our players for cheap prices, they will keep coming for them at cheap prices.

It's about time the board stood up to these teams ( I don't know but maybe they are right now ) I would be setting the price at 35m for him regardless of what KT or anyone else said. You don't pay you don't get him simple as that!

Arsenal are trying to take the p**s.

That's what I'm saying Phliphlop and Arsenal offered 15 for a 22 year old with a wealth of experience, chase them.

If you were to put a price on Andy Robertson at Liverpool, then that's what KT is worth. Not too far apart in ability, just robertson he's had the oportunity to perform at higher level.

@duffandphelps true businesses go in with low bids to start negotiations but Arsenal are being very disrespectful. For a start the alleged 2nd bid of 17.5m plus 7.5m if they won EPL is a joke! They know they will never win EPL as they can't compete with Man City and Liverpool.

Personally I hope Tierney ends up at Napoli as Arsenal are at it.

Take 25 plus nacho moreno? He’s 33 but still has a good engine on him, could get 2 seasons out of him easy and has plenty experience in Europe could even help the youngsters develop.

I’ve continually said on here I’d take no less than £30 million for tierney but £25 million seems to be the figure that sets the ball rolling ( too cheap in my opinion) with arsenal playing funny buggers, I’d like to see tierney stay, but if he’s to go I too hope it’s to Napoli, get it right round these EPL teams that think they’re the be all and end all.

So if you were selling something say for £250 and somebody said £150 and you said no I’m looking for £250 you don’t think some people would then say what about £200 and you might say call it £225 and then sell?
If asking price is £25m and we are offered £22m there’s a decent chance a deal would be done.

Arsenal are doing what Lawell has done for years. That strategy had seen us stall and go back. If Arsenal want to be contenders they really should not be looking at how we do stuff. Or did stuff. It seems that Peter tripped over the tin and somebody saw it before he could hide it again.
